Post Weird clunking from front left tire...

Ok, when driving down the road, I motice that once I turn the wheels to the right, at any speed... there's a kinda soft clunk sound, and I can feel it at my feet.

I installed the V5 suspension a while ago, and haven't had any other problems. Could this be related? I do go out and skid around in snow a lot...could something be stuck in there?

Oh, and left turns, this does not happen.

Did you torque the lugs to the proper setting?

Talking

Is it more of a "ticking" sound or a "clunk"?

I get lots of noises from my front brakes. I think it is the floating caliper design that's responsible - it's like the front calipers sort of clunk into place when I get on the brakes when the wheels are turned at all. Only ever happens at low speed...

But I doubt that's what you are experiencing. Kinda hard to tell without driving it and listening.

Check your strut top bolts, the 12-14mm buggers. My rear one was clunking, and they were abit loose. After your car has settled the springs, they do "pop" up a bit, and need to be re-tightened. Check these first.

yeah, I'll check those strut top bolts, thanks... that sounds like it could be it

as for the other bolts, i didn't use a torque wrench, but the old arm-dyno measured them about the same...

Check to see if the exhaust is hitting anything when it sways around back there. Sounds like the problem I had when I changed out my suspension.

EDIT: Hmm just read you said front, but check the rear anyways
