Hey guys. I think this is the right forum for this...
Anyway, seeing as how we are in the winter months, the few days that I do have warm days, I am looking to clean up the ol' ride. Does anyone have some suggestions on good products and where they can be purchased? I am looking for best products and *good* cleaning tools to ensure that the paint is not marred/swirled. Working on dark color'd cars, so the finish matters. Just curious and if there were any good tips/things to keep in mind to keep my cars looking its best (new mits how often? How to keep cleanign tools clean? Do I use anything to get inital grim off before I use the *good* cleaning tools?). This includes neat things like RainX, defoggers sprays, and things to stay away from (silcone based moistureizers like Armor all?) I appreciate any information and suggestions. We are looking at a 60 degree high tomorrow, so I am hoping to get out and get some cleaning done. Thanks guys!!

Check out www.Autopia.org there's a ton of good info over there on car detailing and stuff. I got some MF towels on their reccommendation, I'm just waiting on a good day to test them out. good luck-James

Or maybe http://www.walnutcreekcarwash.com/ The power of google.... --coot Edit: Hmm, I keep finding better links. Best bet seems to be http://www.autopia.org/ Last edited by cooter; 03-01-2003 at 12:51 PM. |

I appreciate all the replies so far, and I have used some of those sites to make informed buys and methods of cleaning...
However, I was really more interested in people's opinion and tip/tricks/things to keep in mind that they use instead of just a link to some page. I value all i-club.... er... NASIOC's members input and was just looking for some helpful hints and advice. Thanks once gain, and all the information is appreicated. I just was hoping for more of a personal touch. ![]() |
