Default high flow cat for 99' rs

Ok, I've already done searches and really all that comes up is crap for wrx's. I'm looking for people who have done this, what kind they have, do they throw check engine lights, and does it keep a good tone to it. The reason I ask is because I will be getting Borla headers and I am replacing my N1 with a blitz exhaust. I guess the main thing I'm concerned about would be check enging lights, then if it made the car sound worse. My friend had a ford probe and hollowed out a cat and when he got on it it sounded like bee's in a can but before that the car actually sounded real good. That's why I'm concerned. Thanks for the help.

I've got a 2000 with Borla's, Random Tech Cat & Brospeed cat back and it sounds awesome!

Low and grumbling at idel and around town, and sounds like a scolded cheetah when you really get on it (Mostly due to the Cobb Intake I think).

IF you are worried about CEL's it's hit or miss, some cars get them, some cars don't. Both the Borla's or the cat can cause it. Mine has had one since (P0420 - Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold) No biggie & I'm working on a quick & effective, cheap fix. Testing begins later today hopefully!

In addition to the power increases, I'm getting over 26 mpg now too!

wow, I think I will definatly get one then. If you figure out a way to fix the problem let me know. Does anyone possibly have a sound clip of a full exhaust?? I heard one with the blitz and headers, I'm curious to hear what kind of difference there is.

I have a 2000 with Borla headers, random tec cat, custom mid-pipe with resonator, and a blitz nur spec rear section. I have a few clips of it I took the other day, if anyone can host them let me know. Or e-mail me and I will send them to you.

I'm running borla headers, cobb hi-flo, and rallispec single piece cat-back.

I had a CEL with the borla, stock cat, cat-back. The CEL was on for about a year, before I bought the hi-flo.

After installing the hi-flo, I haven't had a CEL since. It was installed in August. At first, when the CEL wasn't on I thought it had burned out. It's not throwing any codes though.

Borla headers, Random tech cat (1st gen), Stromung mid-pipe and exhaust on a MY99, no CEL here I think it was the MY00+ that got the CEL.

Sound Clips
