JC sports intake (ended up taking it off, but it never caused a problem)
proecm chip
lightweight pulleys
borla headers
prodrive exhaust
MY99 RS rims
OEM 4 pot front brake kit
rear legacy disc conversion
custom short shifter
cusco front/rear braces
H&R springs
KYB struts

pointless mods: WRX seats, pink i badge

i've put this car through it's paces to say the least, and it's never given me a problem. engine and tranny are still smooth. it doesn't look like it's almost 10 years old. it's finally starting to develop a few age-related "annoyances"; various rattles and buzzes in the dash, power windows not wanting to roll up straight (the runners are scratching the glass...?), but other than that, i don't think i'll ever have to worry about it not getting me from point a to point b.

1995 FWD 1.8L Impreza

- bought it with 73K miles on in Jan '01
- now has 86K miles on it in Mar '03

I guess I don't drive that much. 13K miles in over 2 years isn't a whole lot. At this pace, my car should last forever.

Maintenance:
- timing belt
- water pump
- master cylinder
- CV joints and half-shafts

Mods:
- removed intake snorkus
- WRX rims/Yokohama AVS ES 100's
- WRX front brakes
- JDM clear corners
- various weight reduction measures
- ripped driver's seat

97 L Wagon, I'm about to hit 81000 miles on it. I got it at 65700 last year.

Repainted, 2 sets of wheels (17" 5Zigen Copse with Kumho Ecsta, and 16" Stock WRX rims with some no major name brand tires), KYB AGX Struts, INTRAX springs, Air Filter, Custom Catback Exhaust, Rear Mid Spoiler, oh and I replaced the front windshield. Also got the rally graphic scheme on it.

Oh yeah, replaced the front 2 seats with seats from a RS Impreza.

2000 GC6 (RS sedan) @ about 71,550 miles.

PROBLEMS:
- Replaced about six O2 sensors, all under Parts Recall #WXW80 (Subaru finally decided to reflash my ECU, we'll see if that prevents my need for a seventh...)
- Ran it into a ditch in December 2000, $9k in front damage but I got it fixed at an excellent garage
- Ongoing light grinding noise in my transmission. My theory is that it's synchros, but it hasn't been solved yet
- Clutch is starting to stink BADLY with even the slightest slip maneuvers
- Had to replace my timing belt tensioner about a month ago

MODS:
- Lots of stereo
- STi Ver.5 suspension (struts/springs), but no STi strut tops yet
- STi Group N engine & transmission mounts
- Whiteline rear 18-22mm adjustable swaybar
- Whiteline front strut brace
- FrozenRotors.com front rotors (OEM-size) and Porterfield R4-S pads all around
- Dunlop SP9000s (OEM size) on OEM wheels for summer, Nokian Hakkapeliitta 1 in 195/65-R15 (Legacy steel wheels) for winter
- Kartboy shifter, bushings & exhaust hangers
- webkris-edition front skidplate
- K&N panel filter (which I might replace with an ITG)

I also had the rear differential protector, extended armrest, performance gauge pack, BroSpeed muffler and aftermarket leather installed at purchase.

Default two Imps

MY93 sedan had 160K before being totaled only problems I had were the timing belt, and leaky front and rear cam seals...upgrades were exhaust, intake, pulleys, indiglo gauges... MY95 GC5 currently has 90K and is running fine only problems are leaky power steering and worn struts, will replace timing belt and clutch at regular maintenance ... and of course those previous mods from MY93 have been swapped over to MY95 with addition to KYB/Tein setup, strut tower bar, 17" Bronze Rota Battles, prodrive wing, Trial bumper, with more to come...

Default Love my Subes

My first Sube was a '86 GL Hatchback and it died with 260k on her , replaced motor at 86k due to anti-freeze neglect on my part. Replacement motor was a junker with 88k on it.

My wifes '96 XT lasted for 176,000 with only a popped timing belt at 58k, SOA replaced for free. Someone hit it while it was parked THREE times and totaled it.

My '96 OBS has 186k on it and still runs great, I have replace two front axles and the Crankshaft seal once. Only mod is a Weapon R intake and alloy wheels.

Purchase my 95 L Valentine's Day 2001 with 53k on it. Currently at just over 68k and still running strong.

Only oil changes and some new plugs so far. Doing suspension in a few weeks.

Some annoying problems like whistling window seals but I like her anyway.
