I know environmentally friendly is the way to go but hp wise that blows. Would I be better off getting a hi-flow cat or just a straight pipe with some "fake" cats? Anyone have input/experience?

I doubt you will notice much if any difference between just one highflow cat and no cats at all. So get the high flow cat and save some trees.

Well, I have a hard time justifying to myself running catless, as its just kinda filthy. You can pull about 10hp out of doing a high flow cat conversion. I have no idea how much more you can get out of going catless. I cant imagine that it would free up so much more as to be worth putting up with the stinky exhaust of a catless setup. Just my 2 cents..
