Is it possible to dyno tune a 2.5 NA with a stock ECU? I heard Vishnu does it in the bay area. I was just wondering if it is a possible and inexpensive performance process. I have almost all the bolt ons on my car, but just heard that my 2001 RS can be tuned to perform better.

Do you mean the ECUtek reflash that Vishnu does? For WRX's, they get about 30hp with it but it costs $700 or something like that... As for an RS, I dont know if it will do much if anything, maybe 5-10hp? Email vishnu and ask them if they can do anything with the RS, as I am kind of curious as well about it...

Look into Cobbs technology, its cheaper, and you can tune it yourself if you get a wideband 02, EGT, and A/F gauge.

Nope, I read a post that AccessFlash will be a product youcan buy yourself or have tuned in house. Youcan only reflash it so many times before the ECU runs out of memory. In which case you have to send your old one to them to make sure you're licensed for the use of their software to reflash it and purchase a new ECU.

Japanese Automotive "street" tuned my RS back in January. I noticed an increase in low and mid torque. The pull is smooth and best of all, I only paid half of the regular price.
