Craig_99GT -

I have a Legacy GT grill that I may be willing to sell. It's in good condition with a red painted badge. Please send me an email if you're interested. THanks.

Yea unfortunately this grille will not readily fit the 96+ BD/BG GTs or OBs, nor any of the 97+ BD/BGs.

Both monovich and I have imported JDM grilles and they need modification to fit.

Here's a pic of my grille:

It is essentially 3/4" too short. Its for sale if anyone wants it, I dont have time to try and modify it to fit. If you have a Legacy with the shorter grille, it should bolt right up.

they fit the 96, the bumer that has the 2 small holes, not the wide ones will take the jdm grill see that is the 95, but they had those bummpers till 96 maybe some in early 97, but this could be the time to get a jdm grill, then you will just get a jdm bumper, and then run the fog/projector lights. was it at a store? my car got keyed in a parking lot, and i called the cops, theygot the vid tape, and got the plate number even in the dark, and raining, settled for 500, and since she knew i was from a rival school and we had debated she got removed from her team. even without the lip they look good.

Thats a JDM oem Legacy grille. You would need to find someone to import it for you. Unfortunately the grille is gonna be about 3/4" too short as are all grilles for the JDM BD/Gs compared to the later USDM BD/Gs.

It would be difficult to mod that grille to correctly fit your car, something like what etam did to his JDM grille would be the way to go if that is acceptable to you.

has anyone painted their GT grille totally body color?

I was thinkin' that might look good. I might try it in photoshop, since my JDM grille seems to have gotten stolen by the damn carbon fiber guy. grrr. Oh well, my fault for being naive.

It does look taller than some but it is still shorter than ours. The top edge of our bumpers has a flat recessed section that dips even lower than the notched bumper in that pic. Its one of those optical illusions.

Monovich-

My modified stock grill is painted completely body color and it makes the front of my Suby sooo much smoother, especially with the Morettes. I would highly reccomend it, but I would also reccomend getting rid of the plastic center grid on the stock grill, as I don't think it fits the GT's sporty looks.
