Default KW Variant 3 Coilovers

Was reading some suspension stuff on Scoobynet and ran into a few people mentioning this suspension with some good things to say about it.

Some pretty good info here:
http://www.kw-gmbh.de/e_version/index.htm
http://www.kw-gmbh.de/e_version/gewinde/variante3.html

HPA Motorsports is the NA distributor. The link they give for coilovers is http://www.kwsuspensions.com.

Didn't see anything on the V3's on that site so I e-mailed and got this:

Quote:
The V3ís are available; we just havenít introduced them officially in North America yet. At this time, all V3ís are built per order, so this results in quite a delayed delivery time in the USA/Canada. When they are ordered in Europe, the build time & delivery is usually only a few days. But when we ship to North America, we only ship every couple of weeks (since shipping individual kits all the time is very expensive).

As for your WRX, they are available, the US retail is $2390. Bump & rebound adjustments can be made while the coilovers are on the car, but for the rear rebound, some covers must be removed.

Kinda expensive, but an interesting option. Was thinking of getting clarification on the covers must be removed thing. Is he talking about the rear seats/deck on a sedan?

Wow, I was just looking at the same coilovers. Even have a thread over on Scoobynet asking about them. I've been in contact with Darren at HPA and with someone at KW in Germany. They sound very good but also expensive. Darren made it sound like its another $400 for the strut top mounts and I still don't know if they're adjustable for castor and/or camber or just fixed. The weird thing is that these coilovers seem to be a great bargain in Europe. Because of the prices I'm leaning back towards the STi struts and springs.

And I'm assuming that he meant the rear seats and whatnot. The reply I got on Scoobynet stated that the Adjustments are much easier on a wagon.
