the nurspec is the loudest and bst sounding, but it only comes in the axle-back section for the gc8. If you like the sound of the n1 the go for it. I personally don't, but If i did that is what I would buy.

Buy a Brullen, Stromung, MRT headerback, scoobysport, or OMP.You wouldn't want people mistaking your car for a Civic would you?

teh scoobysprot is proven and great! the blitz nur spec is hardcore loud depending on the system, and when going catless will leave some nice black soot on your bumper (or maybe even with cats?). also ive heard the nur spec gets hot but i dont know. cobb tuning has a very effective exhaust system you might want to check out.

Well, is the blitz or n1 doublewall? That maybe why the black soot is on the bumper. Or it may be because the tip dosent clear the bumper all the way.

I haven't a clue what you guys are talking about the NurSpec leaving black soot on the bumper. I have it on mine and I'm fine. If you're getting soot on the bumper it doesn't matter what muffler you have, its how close the muffler is to the bumper and how rich you're running.

Brand has nothing to do with it.

Had my tanabe racing super medalion for a few weeks and is pretty statisfy with it. I would recommend Greddy Evo though, Turbo Magazine did a comparison with 12 different cat backs and greddy out perform the others. Anyway, you be sure that you get some stiffer hanger too because all aftermarket exhaust does minimize the clearance to any under car components. It had been hitting my rear diff protector occasionally with stock hangers.

I have...well had the N1. It is an awsome exhaust and not Joefoker it sounds no where close to any honda . Any way I kinda screwed it up in the 2 ft snow storm we had here a couple weeks ago because the bottom sits so close to the ground. If you have stock height or you have coil overs you'll be fine but I just had springs. I now am going to get a new tein suspention and the blitz muffler and headers. I'm convinced that from sound clips the blitz will fit me perfect. The N1 is loud and sounds great. If I didn't love the blitz I'd buy another N1 rear section.

Where are you in Michigan? I'm in Ann Arbor, I have a Greddy EVO catback and my friend has an N1 muffler only. Both on 2.5RS'.

How about the Cobb exhaust? Might take a while to get it, but I think it would be worth it.

I'm a bit confused for the 02rs when it comes to catback exhaust. I think the only ones that are bolt on are the Stromung, Cobb, Brullen, and Borla.

I had the Borla on my 95 Legacy and it was a bit too loud. I think Stromung would be the best choice - having in mind performance, loudness, price, and looks.

I belive it is a great choice for the GC8 also.
Correct me, if I'm wrong

I have TWO apex`i N1's for my RS....one is the 2.5" cat back, and the other is the three inch catback...I love how they both sound, b/c I swap em out periodically. not Civic(y) the 2.5 is better for low end, and the 3 is better for top end/turbo kits...neither sound ricey at all....and they have a nice DEEP rumble to them...I would reccomend the N1....

I think the stromung sounds good but I don't like the look at all. If you want it to look stock then it's a good choice.

Yeah, Supraru and I are in the same boat. Actually hearing his N1 made me get one for my 99RS. It really is a great exhaust with a sweet sound, no where near ricey at all. It has a nice burble to it and sounds great at WOT. Nice top end gains as well. Fits nice and looks great.

Yet, the Blitz Nur Spec is a great exhaust too. I was going to get that one, but I had difficulty finding one, especially since its not a cat-back, only a rear section. If you can find one great, get it, but the N1 is a killer setup just the same.

yea,im pretty much set on the Apexi. I still wanna know the characteristics of the borla compared to the apexi. Sound, power, loud, soft? Im asking this because my friend is selling his, he got rid of his RS, hes selling it for a low price. The thing is i want to have that japanese look and possibly sound to go with me

The Stromung is a nice looking, and really nice sounding exhaust. Really fills out the rear of the car well. And it doesnt look, or sound ricey at all.

um..what exhaust doesn't get hot?

as far as leaving black soot, i've got a aspen white rs, and no signs of that, if you are getting carbon residue on your bumper or your rear apron, then you're either running way too rich, or the exhaust isn't placed right.

Last summer I ordered the Blitz Nurspec from DigitalRacer. I waited for 6 months for the exhaust and never got it so I finally cancled the order. Blitz North America had recieved the order but everytime I called them, they told me that I would get it within a week. Poo on Blitz for their customer service. I love my Greddy Evo catback that I got from optauto.com
