I'm kind of glad they are closing. I called them to see how many people are on the waiting list for the STI and the salesman told me he couldn't tell me that information. I asked why he and he said its confidential. I explained the reason being if i'm going to place a deposit and buy the car through your dealership I want to have some sort of clue of how many people will be ahead of me and when the car will be coming in. To my disbelief he still couldn't understand this. I finally got it out of him and he said there are 20 people who have given deposits. I said thanks and hung up.

heh, you're the third "#6" on the list then :P

when i went they said i was number 6, then someone else posted on the board here saying that they told him he was #6. either people are dropping out or they're just telling everyone that.

Just make sure to get deposit back. Sales manager gave me some BS that they would pass orders to Subaru of New England and then reallocate. Spoke to SoNE and they said get deposit back.

Also, SoNE will be getting 150 cars per month rather than the 45 they thought previosuly. Niiice. Probably means don't need to wirry so much about MSRP as FMV will be right there.

i didnt believe this at first .. i just called and confirmed it.

this kinda sucks. i bought my car there. stamford subaru is a decent dealership, i have had no problems .. i guess subaru of new england decided they didnt have enough space to move enough cars and is pulling their dealership .. so i guess its Rye or Wilton now ..

i wonder if they will be putting some of that aftermarket stock on sale ..

It's spelt 'spelled'

Sorry, I just couldn't resist.

Curt

I am assuming the mis-spell was intentional

I doubt they will be getting half the allocation. 300 per month for the country.
