Default Apartment Renters

Where do those of you with apartments that have the stipulation that no maintenance of vehicles is to be performed on site in your lease work on your cars?

Do it anyways until they warn you? Thats what I always did. The clause is to keep junk cars from building up and pollution. Make sure to clean up after yourself and I doubt they will have a problem.

Yeah, just do it anyways... enough cars leak crap in every apartment complex I've lived in that who cares because there is no way I'm making as big a mess as them...

Thats what I've always done, but I don't wanna have a problem, since I already put 4 months rent down.

Yuck! Most places use that clause as a deterrant. My apt complex has that clause and I've had the maintenance sup and a manager come by and say "hey what 'cha working on" and blah blah blah and then we talk cars for an hour. Since I'm in the Air Force I do most of my work at the base auto shop (lifts, power, air, HEAT ) but smaller stuff I just do in my carport.

As long as it's not up on blocks and looks normal for an over night time period.....I don't have any issues. I've done starter, exhausts, and other stuff at my place, and they have a "no" maintenance BS thing. However it also depends on the apt people too...and how strict.
