Ya know, I'm getting a "something's loose" sound from the front end too, ever since I installed the 4-Pot's. I think it's just something you have to live with. I DID notice that after some hard driving, and getting the brakes heated up, it goes away for a while. I assume because the heat causes everything to expand and tighten up.

Did you get the anti-rattle clips with them?

Sounds like they are missing.

Are you serious? Anti-rattle clips? I'm planning the 4 pot upgrade too, where the heck do I get these?

They are silver (shiny) and a cross shape (two legs longer than the others - like a crucifix).

The two long legs locate under the pins, the two shorter legs press down onto the pads, stopping everything from rattling

Part number 26232FA020 (one for each side required). That part number is valid here in the UK.

So if I order the 4pot kit from subaruparts.com do i get these pins or not? I want these brakes but not if I'm going to have any odd sounds coming from them.

Based on their website you do -- it says they don't include the shims for the back of the pad, but it doesn't mention the clips --- I seem to recall I did verify once (verbally) that it did include the clips.

Worth a call before ordering!!!!

They should come with the kit, exactly as Jay describes.

Without them you'll get a "clack clack" noise.

I suggest you contact your supplier. I know SPD and subaruparts.com supply all the correct bits with their 4 pot kits.

I installed a set of 4-pots the other week and simply forgot to install the clips. The pads made an awfull clacking noise. Then I remembered and installed the clips (intuitive). The brakes still make some of that noise but not as much. I have a feeling that I only received half of the clips - It would make sense if there was one clip per corner holding pad/shim/shim together. So right now I only have two per caliper. The part number 26232FA020 anti-rattle clip mentioned above makes sense - had the exact same thing on my last car. Would Troncalli have these and why did the kit not come with them? Does anyone have an exploded view of the 4-pot setup? I think we're allmissing various key pieces.

I just installed the 4pots today. What cross shaped clip are you referring to. I had the 4 big pins and then a clip that goes through both sides of the pins (doesn't look very stable). I also got 3 (I think I should of had four) clips that cliped in the corner of the pads. Are these the clips you are talking about? They look like they hold the pad and shim together. Installed one on the outside pad on the top and the other on the inside pad on the bottom. The right side I olnly had one to put on Does anyone have a drawing or picture.

Okay, I got to drive more on the 4 pots this evening. I get that "clack-clack" noise from the front end when I go over a bump (such as a manhole cover) at a slow speed. I didn't get these cross shaped clips with my kit. Is it an emergency that I get these ASAP. Can I still drive the car without the pads or anything falling off?
