Help!
I was in the middle of installing my lw pulley and was doing fine until Itried removing the crank pulley. Itwouldn't budge witha 1/2 inch breaker bar, andI have no pipe around. My belts are off of my car now. If anyone wants to offer any suggestions or help it would be appreciated.

I would, but I dont have a 4ft section of pipe laying around
I guess I'll just have to put my belts back on.. Last edited by joefocker20; 03-06-2003 at 12:59 AM. |

Yep, this is the hardest pully to do. You reall need a big breaker bar and just keep slammin it down (start all the way driver side and slam it hard to the passenger side) Eventually it will give loose..... it takes some work. Oh, and putting it in 5th helps a little bit

get Braden to do it if you are in the Springs. I don't know if he still does work but it's worth a shot if you can get a hold of him. Putting it into 5th and starting the car should work but that breaker bar thing gets scary.

Wedge the bar under the hood somewhere and click the engine over once. It should break loose easily.

Nevermind, I used a 4ft bar and could have broken it loose with a finger. Pretty easy install.. If you're going to do this, use a 1/2 breaker bar and a BIG Pipe.

Im sure that I aligned the keyshaft properly, and tightened it enough, but if not, would I have noticed this in the 10-15 miles I drove with it on? I'm just paranoid when I work on my own car..

DO you notice a VERY slight wobble to your pulley with absolutely no deflection to the belts?
