You know how insane that is when a $10k markup would have been almost unimaginable. This guy doubles that.

Lets see do I want a brand spanking new M3 with an imaculate interior, all the luxery I need, and outstanding performance - or that Lancer with the same interior as the base $12K Lancer. What a hard choise that is. Next the the M3 the EVO is a piece of garbage.

Wait it gets even harder because maybe I don't need the luxery, I jut want more performance for my money. Should I get the Z06, or this Lancer.

What is this world comming to.

Even 30k is stretching the Evo here, without the active diffs, etc. Sure it's cheaper without the sunroof, but this car is priced where it belongs at $28-29k.

It's probably marked up that much so that the dealer looks like ahero when he sells it for 10k markup

how's your customer gonna feel getting schooled by a car that cost 20K less?

or when he gets in his friends M3 and sees what you are supposed to get for 50k?

Why are you guys so upset? It's called supply and demand. Maybe somebody will be willing to pay 50k. If so, it's their choice. If not, the dealer will have to lower the price.

If anyone should be pissed, it's Mitsubishi. Mitsubishi gets what they get for the car, I'd assume... then the dealer charges whatever they want. Somebody goes and sees that absolutely outrageous markup, and decides they don't want an Evo after all.... Mitsubishi has lost a sale.

And Mike, calling that "Supply and Demand" is kinda stretching it. I'd classify that more as "highway robbery" or "statutory rape"

I think you're getting ripped off for buying a STi at MSRP. The dealership in my town marks up all Subarus $400 over invoice. I got my WRX from there for $22,000 right when they came out.
