Default too bad.

Too bad you got rid of the 17's I would have traded my silver for the anthracite.

You could always get the 18's and trade me .

hehe it was worth a try right?

Default yeah

They might be a bit harsher, but they will get rid of some of my wheel gap since I don't want to lower my car.(well can't, because the old lady said I can only have one toy.)

Tha's a common mis-conception. The diameter of the tire shouldn't change when you plus size rims/tires. This is why as the rim size gets bigger, the profile of the tire gets smaller. Being the same diameter as stock, it won't do anyting to help eliminate wheelgap... unless you got the wrong size tires. If you did, your speedo is really off.

The only way to get rid of wheel gap is to have a suspension. You can't do it with tires/wheels.

What he said.

KC's right.

18"s are great for performance, I hear, but they're also pretty big and the roads around here, as I'm sure you know, aren't always the best! Just a precaution. But I'm sure you don't need it.

Just an FYI, I don't think Prodrive makes a chrome wheel. I do wish however that they made some of their models in 16" sizes!

I dont have it anymore but a couple years ago, SCC published an article about wheel sizes and their effect on speed and times. Basically what they did was lock Steve Millen in a room away from his lancer and they would change the wheel setup. When he would get in the car, his wheels would be covered until he got into the car. After the covers were removed he would go out and push the lancer as hard as it would go.

To my recolection, 16's were optimal for quarter mile and 17's on the track. 18's just ended up slowing him down ( i think)

I really wish i could get another copy of that article. Probably one of the best articles they ever published.

Blind tests are always good. They eliminate the b.s.
I might remember that article...

The results wouldn't surprise me. I don't know, I just remember some saying that 18"s work well on a WRX. Not much of a surprise I guess, I mean overseas the car comes with 17"s so, realistically, I guess 18 would only be a +1. And their roads are worse (i.e. the UK)!

ScoobySport said they preferred 18"s. *shrug* Just one opinion, though...
I'd never personally go that big. 17"... max.

yeah.....i'm not knockin 18's by any means. For street use they rule and they look sick (especially P1's). This was just for track/racing use. Basically it was an elaborate test illustrating the influence of rotational mass on speed and power.

Yes I'm pretty sure I remember that one.

I really wish Prodrive made 16" wheels. Er, or at least made them available in North America. I've a sneaking suspicion that there are/were some overseas, we just never saw them.

A GC07 in 16" silver would make my day!

$800 for rims and tires seems fair. Thats guessing from what I've seen them go for on here and on ebay.
