Default Just installed Perrin Intake and some cool new gauges!

Hi,

I just wanted to post some pics for you guys. The intake is by Perrin (designed not to mess with MAF) and the gauges are by www.dakotadigital.com

The guages match the dash lights very nicely. It looks very OEM. The pics make them look bluer than they really are. They are a bluish / green. They respond very quickly when applying throttle, Its instant. All the gauges have programable warnings and they will blink if they hit a warning reading. The warning feature is great because you dont have to keep you eyes on the gauges 24/7, you can see them blinking while looking straight ahead.

The EGT gauge says "EGTx10" incase you were wondering. Sorry bout the blurry pics, you figure by now Id at least save some money to buy a good digicam

Here is the intake. It was quite a fight to get the damn Perrin hose over the stock plastic intake. It also required some pushing and shoving to get it to fit with the Greddy FMIC. I got it in and it works great!

Hope this helps for anyone considering this intake with the Greddy FMIC. It fits!

-Brian

Thanks!

They are pretty simple to install.

For the oil PSI you will need an adapter from this place www.egauges.com

For the EGT you will need to get the steel bung welded on that comes with the gauge

For boost you just tap into your BOV line.

Thanks for the replies, Im enjoying all this fun stuff. I just had a nice road tuning sesion this morning and the cars pulling strong. I look like this as she's flying down the highway " "

I have that egt gauge. It didn't work at all right out of the box. I sent it back to get repaired. 6 months later it starts to only work 50% of the time.

Hope you have better luck with it than me.

Sorry to hear about your misfortune.

Mine are working PERFECTLY and they respond instantly when you apply throttle. They are right on the money with the temps that people in the Factory Forced Induction section are getting. Maybe you wired them incorrectly , I am a car electrical wizard so I know mine are hooked up perfectly.

Also, I forget to mention that these gauges dim when you turn on your headlights, its really nice looking at night. Not to bright at all.

Thanks for the comments guys. I'd defintetely recommend these gauges to everyone.

I got the gauge pod from www.gaugepods.com

You can order it painted and it matches pretty perfect. Looks completely factory and I've been questioned by a lot of people if it came like that stock. (people that dont know WRX's of course...)
