Does anyone have problems with their Stromung rattling? Would Kartboy Exhaust Hangers help this?

100% yes! My Stromung is solid as a rock, even WITHOUT the 3rd hanger being reversed. Do it.

Joefocker- Yeah man, i have the same problem! Does the rattling get better (or go away) after the car is all warmed up for a while? Mine is bad when i start it, but after 15 minutes of driving, it goes away, is it the same for you?
I guess I should get these hangers then, I thought I was the only one... ![]() Dan |

I hope the hangers fix it because I dont like driving my car when it sounds like crap, I rev no higher than 2,500 so no one can hear the rattle until she's warm. I thought i had a deffective end section ( I had a new one put on in stainless, my mild steel rusted clean through in under 2 years), so Im glad its not the actual muffler. Im going to order the hangars from lachute and tell you how they work.

Buy I even went behind my car while it was rattling and bumped the can around with my foot and it diddnt make a difference, im gonna check for heat shields in the way or maybe it touches the rear diff when cold, but after it expands when it been running after a while, it moves away from it. Dont know until i (or anyone for the love of god) fixes it.

I get some rattle too.. and I have the kartboy hangars. I'm pretty sure its my heat shield that is the problem though. As soon as it warms up I'm fixin it because its really getting annoying.
I would recommend the hangars anyway though, the stockers are way soft and the Kartboys make a night and day difference. |

DCoty: I installed these tonight in the cold, rain, etc.. They got rid of ALOT of rattling throughout the car. Theyare a pain inthe butt to install though with a Stromung can.

Well, you must have loose heat shields. I couldnt even move any portion of my exhaust after installing these, thats how tight things are with these on.. Mine was also rattling alot because you cant use the 3rd hanger on a Stromung on a 02 RS, and the stock hangers gave up the job.. The only tough part was taking the Kartboy hanger off of the cars right exhaust hanger to put it on the the Stromungs hanger first, it wouldnt let me do it the other way around.. And tightening the left hanger bolt with the exhaust in place was a biotch too..

Just got the brullen catback installed last nite... used stock hangers... the holes in the stock hangers were too big for the exhaust hooks, so we did a ghetto job and wrapped electrical tape around the hooks to make the stock hangers fit better, but I too need some Kartboy hangers.

I have some iON Brullen exhaust hangers for sale if anyone is looking. They're practically new and supposedly better than Kartboys or Cuscos.
