Default Where can I get my gauges installed around the DC/Metro area...

I just bought some 2 5/8" Autometer Boost and Oil Pressure gauges from eBay. I also bought the gauge mounting pods to mount them in. The gauges didn't come with any hoses or anything, they just came with the electrical wire for the bulb. I have no clue how to install them since no instruction manual came with the gauges and I don't really feel like searching on the web and installing them myself since I am afraid I'll screw something up. In other words, I'm a lazy bastard So does anyone know any shops around here where I can get them installed? I am willing to pay...

Talk to TaiChih. I know he can install them, and probably for less than a shop would charge.

Default Gauges are easy to do.

boost - all you need is some vaccuum line and a METAL/BRASS t-fitting. I dunno where a good place to tap a line for the gauge for a reading is but I'm sure onf these guys can tell you.

oil press - you need to order a new sender unit from Autometer. They cost about $30 + shipping. Then you need to find a place suitable to put the oil meter. DO NOT under any circumstances use BRASS ADAPTERS or t-fittings for this. Over time they will fatigue and crack or break off. Find a suitable port on the engine to mount the pressure sedning unit and re-tap the hole to 1/8NPT threads and mount it directly ! then it is as simple as running wire back into to the cockpit !

Autometer uses brass fittings.
