Default head bolt help needed

ok, so I'm following the directions in the book that I have (2.5 legacy book) and has steps to torque the bolts. The last step I'm on is to torque to 25 ft-lbs. ok, no prob. But the next is to torque to 132 in-lbs. Ok I thought, I'll do a conversion. and I got 11 ft-lbs. Is that right? go to 25 then loosen to 11?
Thanks in advance.

Courtney

Not sure, but on my rs, as with any alunimum block, you do torque all head bolts down in sequence, then back off i.e. loosen them, then tighten them back up.

scroll down and check my post on torquing the bolts. You're on the right track.

Cool, Thanks. That's pretty much what my book said. Now I can't wait till I get home to put my engine back together.
