Default Would anyone be interested in this deal?

I'm going to be buying my friend's '02 Silver WRX in two weeks. It has the stock wing, but I'm not too fond of it..

Would anyone consider swapping my trunk and wing for your trunk (no wing) plus $150? The wing is about $300 from the dealer. Just wanted to know if anyone would be interested.

I'd like to keep in local, in the Bay Area, if possible.

BTW, the trunk and wing have no scratches, dents, or dings...

Ryan

Just a friendly reminder, don't forget to switch out the trunk locks.

What I was planning on doing was either meeting up with whomever I make the deal with at their place or my place and swap it on the spot. I'm assuming if I meet the person at their place they will have the necessary tools.

Can't really drive around without a trunk...I mean you could but that would be bad.

So there it is trunk and wing for $150. I consider this a really good deal since Subaru sells the wing for over $300, internet places sell it for around $170-$200. It's already mounted on...just a matter of swaping trunks and locks. And like I said the trunk and wing have no scratches or dents.

I just got my money so I should be getting the car from my friend next week. I personally wouldn't mind driving to whomever's house to swap...it'll be an excuse to drive the rex somewhere!

I heard you also need to switch the springs? Something about the wing making the trunk much heavier.

I just spoke to one of techs at Ron Price Subaru. Just need to take off the bolts, no need to worry about the springs...at least thats what they said. And taking off the trunk lock requires just removing the bolts holding them in.

We'll see how it really goes.

BTW...already made the deal with saurabh.
