Default ATTN: Sac Area heading to Berryessa on 3/16

Lets figure out how we're getting there. Egan, Bemani and I had talked about meeting in Natomas (Truxel @ I-80) and heading out on 113, but I don't know of the route.

How do you sac members want to get there? And does anyone from nearby areas want to meet with us and rally up from there?

Let's get our plans squared away so we can have a good drive, and a lot of fun.

- Matt

The Berryessa meet starts around 12:30 or so.

We should leave Truxel by 11:00.

We'll take I-80 to 113 to Covell Road in Davis. Stop at the Unocal for gas and pick up any of the Davis group around 11:30.

Out to Oak Flats is probably < 1 hour from Davis. If we get there early we can always keep driving! I know the route very well. It's a fun drive.

Awesome.

Squish: Would you and your group like to meet us at Truxel, at Covell Rd in Davis or neither?

It would be cool to have a big group going and hwy 113 sounds like a fun trip, so I'm interested in running it.

Egan and sac members: Let's plan to meet at about 10:30 in front of Starbucks in the Natomas Market Place. That way we can get amped up on coffee or go over to Jamba Juice before the drive. We can also line up and get some pics .

This is going to be a blast.

Plenty of picnic space at Oak Flats including tables. I don't remember if there are BBQ pits or not. It's right on the water (depending on the lake level at this time of the year).

Hey guys, I just wanted to keep you posted on the latest developments. The weather is gonna be crappy this Sunday according to the forecast. So, I posed a question on the official thread. If you all want to come even if it rains or not. I need your thoughts too. Please post them. As I need to make the plans solid. Thanks...

By the way, the meeting time @ Berryessa will be about 12:30-1:00 pm. This means you will have to get an earlier start. The group from Santa Rosa will be leaving about 10:30-11:00. It is about a solid hour of driving to get there from Santa Rosa. That is of course, we don't get stuck behind a slow moving senior or something... You may want to get food already prepaired for lunch if it is gonna rain.

Any large, open parking lots where we would be heading?

Rain + large open parking lot =

Here's a good portion of the road. We'll hang a right off of 128 at Knoxville Road along the west end of the lake.

Well looks like I won't get my new fog light covers on by this weekend so I'll have to pass this trip, rain or shine regardless. I sold my fogs + mesh cover & have these 2 big holes in my bumper, and I don't want to drive in the middle of nowhere, catching bugs into my fender that'd be impossible to clean.

WHY did you sell your fogs AND covers???

Oh well, due to the crappy weather I wont go either. I dont think I woulda been able to make it anyway, but with the weather that not too great.

P.S. Steve...you need a REALLY open parking lot to have fun even in the wet. Now a REALLY big open DIRT area would be lots more fun!

Thanks, but I already got the covers - I'm just waiting for the dealer to order those 2 brackets that accept the screws.

If someone is still going, I'll take my Corolla and try not to fall too far behind?

How about stuffing rags in the foglamp holes? j/k

I'm seriously thinking about going to Berryessa, just to find some open road to give the car a workout. Never been to a meet before, other than Dyno Day at Vishnu. hayscoob, is 10:30a.m. still the designated time at Truxel and I-80?

Wingless Wonder,

I am not sure where your (valley group) is gonna meet. I will be meeting up with those who wish to drive to Berryessa at the normal meeitng spot in Santa Rosa Market Place. I would try to lobby a bit for the Sac group to see who is till comming along.

Try to have a time settled to allow you to meet up at the Oak Flats Day use area at Berryessa by 12:30-1:00 pm in the afternoon. OK... We here in Santa Rosa will meet up about 10:30 ish in the morning.

The timing has already been worked out. Please scroll ^^^^^^.

I may not be going as I am having some boost problems which I have been unable to fix. 9 psi sucks!

I'm open to suggestions:

Okay, thanks for the replies. I guess I'd better print out directions for myself to Berryessa. If only one or two people show up at Natomas Market Place at 10:30a.m. and none of us know the way (in the rain), I can see where we might get separated from each other along the way.
