Thumbs up hks 46mm cup

as seen here https://www.hksusa.com/products/?id=733

If anyone is wondering, it fits a 45mm Omori gauge perfectly. i have it installed on my steering column like the stock Lamco setup, and it looks great. Only issue is that you need to drill the steering column, as the wiring exits out of the bottom of the cup. I ordered it from hks directly, and they shipped very promptly.

Dont buy it, not worth the hassle. I bought it, and the back popped off, the little green piece of plastic was so flemzy, and the gauge pod never really snapped right into place. I could move it back and forth with my hand, its held in my 2 screws u drill, then a green piece of flemzy plastic holds it in. Wasted 30 dollars. I now have the oem gauge pod with my omori 45mm boost gauge, sooo much better, stronger, nicer, worth every penny.

Hmmm, I agree that the cup is a bit flimsy, but I still maintain it's worth the $30. Mine stays together just fine. When mounted to a column, it's not really in a place where the pod gets disturbed much.

In comparison, I believe the stock pod itself without the gauge (if you can even get one) costs over $100. Too much for just a pod imo.

I'm telling you... he's right, its not worth it. I had 3 of the HKS cups with 45mm Omoris. After a while they all pop off pretty consistently. Its not worth it. Its not worth the aggrivation. I wanted to do something different and keep the stock clock pod.

Just today I finally bought the P-107 Omori 45mm DIN Panel. It will go into an OEM DIN gauge pod. OK, yeah everyone who doesn't splurge for the (ugly) Defi has it like this. OK, yeah I lose the clock. But I'm damned tired of janky crap and black eggs rolling around my dash.

Oh, and if you're thinking there's less vibration on your A-pillar, you're not thinking straight. Trust me.
