Default Strange smell - lookin for help if possible...

I have noticed this odd 'burning plastic' smell from my car since last week. Everytime I come to a stop, I smell this smell - I have spent TONS of time under the hood trying to track it down and have found nada. My brother was following me yesterday and said he could smell the same smell when we came to stop lights. I was hoping someone in the Sunnyvale/Cupertino area could maybe ride with me around the block and see if they can find anything? Even any suggestions would be great..

I know this sounds really dumb - but I am at a loss. The only thing I can figure is maybe something is up with the catalytic converters or something.. Not sure. It definitely smells like burning plastic, but it is very weird to completely have NO idea where it's coming from.

Thanks,

Jacob

Any recent mods/repairs? How many miles has it been (like at how many miles did it start and how many have passed with the smell)? Any visible smoke, or is it just a smell? Are all your oils at the correct levels? Is the smell worse at the front of the car or the rear?

Run over any plastic bags lately? Sometimes they get stuck on/in hot things... Like radiators, and such.

Default DOH!

Found it, it was a really stealthy Cat-Back Safeway bag. It had somehow attached itself to the top of the flange where the rear muffler section attaches... It was just weird because the smell has not changed or gotten stronger in two weeks, I haven't seen any smoke - and it has always been very related to how hard I was driving.

It's all so clear now... Thanks for the suggestions!!
