Radio Shack! They have tons of switches and are much cheaper than any others I've found.

Waytek Wire. Do a Google search to find them. Great prices and nice stuff.

try Newark Electronics - www.newark.com

They should have everything you're seeking.

Default WRX custom switches?

Is there anywhere that has cheap switches that will pop right in to the 02 WRX? I tried subaruparts, allsubaru, etc, but they only have those custom STi switches that are like $45. The Radio Shack ones could work; they just don't fit exactly and knowing me that s***'ll look totally ghetto if I try to cut-out and put one in.

Default Re: WRX custom switches?

Our local electronics parts supply place has several switches in lit and plain versions that fit right into the normal panel openings. This is a place called Norvac - they have an entire aisle - about 20 feet - of switches. Two other easy ways to get what you want are to go to any "U-Pull" junkyard and get some switches - most imports use the same size switch cut outs - or just get some blank switch hole covers, and mount into those covers the switches you want.

BTW - Radio Shack is overpriced and really has very few switches compared to a decent electronic parts supply house. For some other ideas try Parts Express or check out the many thousand switches at Allied.

I have 3 "extra" switches in my car - one is a rocker plus window wiper/washer switch that runs my laser jammer, one is a rear window heater switch (push/push) from an older Legacy that switches somw extra lights, and one is a normal mini toggle in a blank that runs the garage door opener. Each has their own pros and cons. But the only one that is at all noticable is the toggle - all the rest look stock.
