ummn the FTO. I wanted one of those so bad when I lived there, use to see them alot around London. They only released them for a limited period as people were importing them from Japan. Very nice car for 28000pounds ($36-38k) FWD 200bhp 2.0L V6.

check out http://www.mitsubishi-fto.org/index.html for more info/pics

And the neon is putting down more power to the wheels than it is advertising at the crank! And thats from actualy production cars people are testing. 229 at the wheels on one car.

In fact, its putting down more to the wheels than the new Lancer EVO, a lot more!

woo woo =)

a nice 2400 pound sports car would be nice though

wonder if it cant pass us safety regs or something?

Thats why I'm moving home - actually thats a pretty sad reason to move back home but its an added bonus plus we have great roads to drive on and roundabouts

This is what I want when I get home an Evolution VII eXtreme

If they would get off their ass and make one of these they would (except for the nice interior):

I'd buy one (at the promised 14-16K) in a heartbeat.

They are suppose to be offering the Lotus Elise either later this year or next as a USDM production car. You can get them through importers and specialty dealers now but would be nice to have a dealership to goto for servicing and parts. Saying that Lotus has ties with or is owned by Vauxhall (UK) which is GM and so probably get a rehashed ( I mean rebadged) GM version which won't have the same credibility IMO

The Elise coming here is the real thing and should haul much ass. Problem is, it'll be around $40K.

You could get one of these for about $30K here in the states:
