WRX ATF Pan - Gasket or No?

I've seen people talk about it before, but we're going to do a drain/fill tomorrow and I want to be certain about the facts. Is there a crush washer for the ATF drain plug? How about the front and rear diffs?

The Service manual seems to indicate a gasket for the front and some packing compound for the rear, but they don't say anything about the ATF plug.

Also, is there anything else I need to know?

There is a crush gasket on the ATF drain plug. Just remember to check you ATF when the car is running and is at proper operating temperature.

Is the gasket the same size as the engine oil pan's crush washer, could that washer be used for the ATF bolt?

Yes it's the same size, and yes you can use the same crush washer.
