The only thing is the bracket...and the offset...which is pretty much everything.

The bolt pattern is the same, but the offset is not. It looks like the system uses a two-piece rotor. I'd think that all AEM has to do is fabricate a bell/hat (I forget what they're called - the center part) with the corect offset along with the corresponding bracket to move the caliper out to match the specifically-sized rotors to match said hats. Oh wait... that's called a completely different kit. Don't worry. All we need is time before everyone and their mother starts marking parts for the Subaru aftermarket. Waiting is a hard thing to do...

i don't know if there's already a big brake kit for the scoobies (pretty sure there is though) but if you like the aem kits, i could have them made for you. this is what i need though. and this still doesn't gurarentee that they will produce these. i need someone that has the ability and confidence to organize this (i will not), email me and i'll give you a contact at aem. then you need to find at least 100 interested scoobie ppl with the same car (ie. 2001 impreza 2.5 needs 100ppl, wrx needs 100 ppl, etc., NOT 100 ppl with imprezas and wrx's and svx's etc) they're going to need a donor car (free kit!) but be prepared to leave ur car for a uspecified amount of time for R&D maybe 6mos. very slow and frustrating.

imo, go find some slotted rotors and some wilwoods, custom the rest.

Why would you want that again?

No calipers. If its like the honda one im thinking of, it just pushes the caliper farther out to fit bigger rotors.

please clarify.

Hey guys i'm just finishing r&d on a brake kit that normal people can afford. i'm hopeing to keep it under $600 for 4 piston calipers ,brackets to mount them ,pads. Theres also about 7 differant pad compounds to choose from.this setup will utilize the stock disc size. i'm working on a larger 12" setup also. best part about it is the weight savings. the new calipers weigh only 2.5 pounds ea.How does this sound? Let me know.808 out.
