Default Running warm...seems strange

The last two mornings Iv been stuck in some pretty bad traffic for about 5 mins, and both days I have been creeping along at just a little faster than idle. I mean like 1000-1500RPM sliping the clutch almost the whole time (lotsa stop-n-go). Thing is I have watched my Water temp gauge go right to the top "normal temp" line... I hear the fans kick in sometimes, but Im not 100% sure when. I am just worried because I'v been in this situation (stop and go) in 100 degree weather and the temp gauge never moved an inch (normally just below dead center). In fact, once the car has reached operating temp, it has STAYED there, and never moved. It was only about 50 degrees out the last two mornings.

Its good to know that after about 30 sec. of driving (at 40mph) the temp was right back to normal. Should I be worried? I dont want this to be an early warning for some empending problem. My car is about 18 months old and has 15,000 miles on it.

None of your mods seem to be the obvious culprit.

Non the less,
--Double check the PDM vent hoses, ensure you have proper engine venting/circulation.

--Contact ProECM (or vendor) maube they'll give you some feedback.

If you eventually have to take her in to the dealer keep in mind Subaru doesn't like cars with mods

Ya...Im not TOO worried, becuase once I got up to speed I was ok. If I have troubles Sunday at the Auto-x then I might consider getting worried (iv done other auto-x's in 90 degree weather and had no problems), but unfortuately the WORST conditions for the cooling system is exactly where I was. Higher than idle under load, but not really moving fast enough to cool.
