Default Rear Sway Bar on 2002 2.5 RS

Does the 2002/2003 2.5 RS have the same stock suspension setup as the WRX? Specifically, what size is the rear sway bar in the 2.5 RSs compared to the WRXs? Also, what would be a good sized sway bar (and brand) to get the 2.5 RS to handle close-to-neutral?

The RS has a 13mm rear sway bar; the WRX has a 20mm rear sway bar. Rear sway bars are interchangeable between the RS and the WRX, fitment-wise.

RS vs. WRX suspension: Front sway bar is the same size (20mm) but different fit, struts are the same, RS springs are softer but same fit, RS strut tops are slightly softer but same fit.

Sway bar brand: I've always been a fan of OEM in this department, as you'll avoid most of the squeaking/clunking associated with aftermarket bars. Size is up to you - but be sure you can handle what you switch to. I went with a 17mm off of a WRX wagon at first, and I'll eventually switch to a 20mm from the WRX sedan. 13 to 20 is an awfully big step if you're not ready for it.

Lastly, you'll get far more responses if you put this in the Suspension forum

Not at all... just remember what you did and that oversteer is an option... 20 is great...

I'll definitely be going to 20 when I upgrade my springs, etc. I guess I was gunshy because of all the snap oversteer warnings - the last car I drove was a Saturn SL1, so I was wary.
