Whose Cel fix are you using? It can't be ours, as we have the RS specific instructions included with the product.
Email me directly and I'll set you up with the wire colors. Dan Smith info@ponyexpressperformance.com |

grey and black. There is a wrong way and a right way, and the circuit only goes one way. Since I don't know whose product you are using, you have a 50 percent chance of doing it right, and a 50 percent chance of shorting the rear o2 sensor to ground and over time, burning the rear o2 sensor out.

Can't you just go to an auto parts store (Checker locally) and borrow a scanner, and reset it "properly"? Or did they stop that offer already?

Depends on what's causing it. Sounds like he's getting the cat inefficiency CEL which is either caused by a bad cat or by high-flow/low restriction. I've got headers and brospeed exhaust and I got the CEL once. A buddy has an '02 RS with headers/high flow cat and exhaust and he gets it constantly. They wrapped his header and it went away.
Anyway.. if it's caused by either a bad/missing cat or a high-flow cat you can't get rid of it with just resetting it. It'll come right back. |

Black should be resistor, capacitor should cross between black & gray. Leave the two white wires alone.

yes i have the radom tech cat, and they make resistors to wire into the 02 sessor to see false voltage, so the cel doesnt come on, makeing the 02 sensor a dummy......

I did the evailmotorsports CEL fix last night and my A/F gauge is now reading a constant lean in low rpms. Is that common? I don't want to detonate my engine. I have a full MRT exhaust system and intake.
