Question Possible for road condition to cause CEL?

Before I begin, let me reassure everyone, there are no crackpipes in my vacinity, so hear me out.
I'm curious as to whether an external condition (road undulations, electric wires, etc etc) might cause interference with the cars computer and have it throw a CEL. I say this because I was CEL free until a month ago and out of the blue, I get one. The car seemed fine, so I cleared it via battery unhook. Today I was travelling down the same road for the first time since that day a month ago. When I hit the exact spot (within a 1/4 mile for sure) where the CEL came on last time, on it goes again!
I guess I'll have Subaru read the code this time. I'd stop at Autozone and get it read there, but I called and there's no one there "qualified enough to read it"... sheesh.

well, I got it read and it's a 420... so I guess it's just a REALLY strange coincidence that the CEL triggered in the exact spot as before.

I know when I drive around sometimes...I swear streetlights turn off because I am there....I dont have any crackpipes around either....but I can just be driving around at night, get about 20 feet from a streetlight and the light will go off. Happens quite often actually. I guess interference with the ECU would be possible.
