Smile saw STi in commercial!

Just saw the first STi in a TV commercial last night. It was one of those typical low-budget commercials by a local dealership (Dean Team in Ballwin, MO). The lady talked about all the great deals they have on Subarus, and closed by saying something like "and the 300 HP STi WRX will be here soon", while a static picture of a blue STi was shown.

Not highly exciting, I guess, but it was still kind of cool.

Just heard a commercial on the radio, one of the zero intrest zero down blah blah blah commercials, and at the end the speaker said and I quote, "...montero sport, eclipse, and even the EVO SUPERCAR, WOW!!!" It's hard to recreate it but it was funny when she said it...

Dealer: What do you like best about the STi?
Me: Well, I didn't even want one until I saw that rockin commercial.

Are you sure about that, RSX2STI??
Here in Portland, the local Mitsu radio ad says "excludesEvolution8" reeeal fast at the end of the ad.
Man, that's a helluva deal if true (and if you can find a dealer selling at MSRP..)

I heard that same commercial from Beaverton mitsu

"excludes Lancer Evolution 8"

I thought that they weren't calling the USDM EVO an EVO 8 since it is the first one here.

It seems that Mitsubishi is somewhat confused themselves, it says "Evolution VIII" on the floormats.

I second turbo lover by judas priest.

Such a great song for "spirited" driving. They should include a cd with that song on it when you buy an STi

I think we have a winner Rush is the greatest band ever!

Jump to the ground
As the Turbo slows to cross the Borderline.
Run like the wind,
As excitement shivers up and down my spine.

I fire up the willing engine,
Responding with a roar.
Tires spitting gravel,
I commit my weekly crime...

Wind-
In my hair-
Shifting and drifting-
Mechanical music-
Adrenalin surge...

Well-weathered leather,
Hot metal and oil,
The scented country air.

I need to put a CD player in my future STi. You can't jam to Rush without a CD player can you? No, therefore the STi needs a CD player.

Hey, not a bad idea to discuss this now. I would commend the song "Bad to the Bone" by George Thorogood and the Delaware Destroyers.
Quote:
On the day I was born, the nurses all gathered 'round
And they gazed in wide wonder, at the joy they had found
The head nurse spoke up, and she said leave this one alone
She could tell right away, that I was bad to the bone
Bad to the bone
Bad to the bone
B-B-B-B-Bad to the bone
B-B-B-B-Bad
B-B-B-B-Bad
Bad to the bone

Lets cut the BS if there was ever a car to debut to Carmina Burana-Orff the Sti is it. It should be vulgar and hardcore with trackshots rally, road, 1320 (a vette spanking would be nice), Drifting(al la cusco wrx) then it can end with a guy frantically washing the car and picking his girl up for the symphony. I want a performance company with nuts If they are going to give us this level of all around performance support it! I dont think too many average joes are going to mistakenly find themselves in a STI

Arrow Songs!

All good choices for songs... (especially "Turbo Lover")... Background music while the commercial announcer describes the STi could be "Orion" by Metallica.
