Default Any way to make the keyless lock/unlock beep/flashflas instead of honk?

I like the audio feedback of knowing my all my doors are locked/closed. But when I get back from work at midnight I hate having the horn honk... (yes I know you can turn this off)

Has anyone rigged up something so that the car will emit some kind of a beep (i.e. my roommate's IS300) instead of honking the horn? Or flash the lights?

It's not a big deal certainly, I just think it'd be neat.

Thanks for any feedback

If you turn off the honk, the lights will still flash

Not with the keyless entry. If you turn off the keyless entry honk about the only thing you can rely on is the dome light.

If your lights flash, it's probably because you have the security upgrade (aka alarm).

Also, if you have the stock alarm and set it to silently arm you can still get audible feedback if you press the arm button twice. The car gets angry at your lack of confidence in its arming abilities and berates you with 3 barely audible beeps from the horn.

At least.. I'm pretty sure the stock one does it.. I have the aftemarket equivalent.

Somebody investigated re-routing (and removing) the alarm horn (for the upgraded security system) and using a piezo in its place. Not much ever happened beyond ideas though
