Default Will the STI be a regular-production model?

I'm planning on getting mine when I graduate from uni, which is still a year and a half off, is the STI going to be made every year, or is it going to be a special edition with a small, one-time run for the US?

Should be a normal production car. Most lilely not produced as high as the WRX or normal Imprezas, but not a limited release either.

Subaru is likely to sell more 2004 WRX STi units than the total number of 2.5RS Imprezas sold in 1998 and 1999, combined.

I assume that was made in comment to my above post for some reason?

While I definately don't have stats, this is just a curiosity question on a tangent: How does that compare to the RSes sold in 02/03?

I have a feel you are going to be right! I see too many people (who are not even in this forum) are planning to buy STi.

I hope Subaru start producing, cause with this demand and supply, dealers are gone jack it up 4 to 6K.

It will be a full normal production. I've heard this 1000 times over on different cars that were released in the last few years.

S2000
350Z
PT Cruiser
Z06 Vette

All of these cars carried heavy premuims when first released. Now you can get one at 90% of the dealerships you visit for MUCH less than sticker price.

The S2000 has been out for years and I would be really surprised if dealers were charging sticker and more for it. The 350z is new, however.

Thats what I am saying.

When the S2000 was released in 2000, dealerships wanted 37,000+ for them. Now you can get them for less than sticker because the novelty is wearing thin.
