Default Clutch Shudder

Hey guys ive got a 99 RS i just recently bought it.. i think that its first owner honestly like beat the piss outta it to say the least. Anyway.. its got 64k on it now and ive been noticing that my clutch shudders really bad when im letting it out .. i noticed it when it was really cold out and it seems to do it when the car is cold .. and only is take off gears such as 1st and 2nd .. any ideas.. i think my clutch is gone but i hope not.. thanks..

Yep, get used to it. It's the common shudder. My original clutch was half worn and I could do it by just not giving it enough gas, since it was starting to slip a bit. You could opt to get your clutch adjusted to engage at a lower point if your driving style prefers which might help.

on cold mornings, i can't shift smoothly especially from 1st-2nd to save my life if i had to. has anyone mastered it?? for now i just jo-jolt on off for a few blocks.

The only thing I can do to remotely help is lots and lots of gas. I have to almost get it to like 4k. But it's not always like this. Mainly starting out up hill.

Woa, 4k! With my car already warmed up though, and with the ebrake on, I can take off fine at half the rpm.
