Default Performance alignment shop that will "warranty" the alignment for a year?

Someone mentioned tome that one of the local shops will check the alignment for a year and bring it back to spec if needed. Anyone know which of the shops does this? Post the average initial cost as well please.

Talk to Gino to verify. Tires Plus in Hayward (talk with Pat) had a deal with him. Only good on Subarus.

It was above the normal alignment cost, I think in the $80-90 range. But the deal was simple. 1 year/12000 miles, as many alignments as you want for any reason, to any specs (that are physically possible on your car, of course) that you want to give them. I asked him if *I* installed a part that required an alignment after installation, and *I* knowlingly messed up the alignment, would he still realign it.

Yes, he would. For Subarus, if you mention Gino and you make an appointment.

This was a while ago, so check to be sure the deal is still on.

Thats cheaper than most places for all 4 corners, wel from what I've seen anyways.

The reason you only pay $40-50 or less for an alignment is because most cars have a fixed rear setting, and the front is the only end that truly needs to be aligned -- hence ~ half the price.

Coucillian -- thanks for the info, now I know where to go!!

That place and Auto Innovations are both significantly cheaper for a normal 4 wheel alignment to your settings. I'm thinking $60-70 range for a normal alignment.

This is only a value if you expect to have to come back. I think the intention was to try it for the folks who autox or are very picky about settings and to give them a somewhat less expensive way to find the setting that works best for their application by experimenting a bit.

Concillian: Will tires plus get it down to .1 or .01 match on either side? Im afraid they will just get it close and give up.

suby_dude: I used Auto Innovations last time but I didnt think they would redo it without charging 80$ again.

I actually didn't get my alignment done, I was inquiring. However that PARTICULAR Tires plus has ONE guy who does work on Subies, and from what I understand, does work on Subies well.

For how close 'to your specs' is I'd give a call and inquire. My guess is that they do it right. It is not your typical Tires Plus / Wheel Works, if you let them know you have a Subaru and mention Gino.
