Default hella flush questions

i have a 2008 wrx hatch, and i am looking to get a nice wheel set up. i am looking at a set of rota g force, in cosmic blue.
18x9 35+ offset
currently i am running stock struts with sti pink springs.
how much camber would i need to run to clear the fenders,( i am planning on rolling them)
i think i heard someone state the 08 wrx's are a little bigger in the wheel clearance area.
i have a lot of wheel gap but will eventually get coil overs just not yet.
just looking for some help.
thanks

I'm running the 06 sti bbs on my 04 wrx, 17x8, I think the wheel offset is 55mm and I'm running a 25.9mm hub adaptor to fit the 5x114.3 bolt pattern. I like the aggressive look of this with the wheels spaced out flush with the fenders, but should I be concerned about running too much offset?

Default Sizing Help

I am building a track only 01 RS with a complete 05 STi driveline. The car will have Racecomp T2 coilovers. I'm thinking of 18x9 or 18x9.5 size rims
and have no idea of offsets and what will fit. Fenders will be rolled or cut as
needed. Anyone with any helpful info or contact with someone with a similar
setup would be appreciated. Thanks!

Okay I'm tryin to determine the root cause of my damn rear wheel bearings failing... just did #3 on MY00 RS. I've got 17x8 ET48 5Zigen FN01R-C's, and I ran them for about 1.5 years sans snow season. Like I said, the bearings are going still. I know this config is nearly within the specs listed on the first page, but just wanted to hear others' opinions? Could be the deciding factor in if I sell them...

Also, which might be pertinent, running -0.3 rear camber w/ 0 toe, and have less than 2 seasons of autoX on the last 2 rear bearings. Forgive me if this is in the wrong thread, but I'm mainly wondering if the offset/wheels are the killers or not. Thanks guys.

What about a 18x9.5 with a +38 offset and 5mm spacers in front on my 2004 STI with stock struts and prodrive lowering springs?

I want to get some wheels from my buddy who has an EVO, they are 18x9.5 +22, obviously they will fit with rolled fenders, springs, and camber, but is that just a retarded offset to have on an '08 STI? I'm going for function, not looks. They are Volk TE37's.

Thanks in advance, I know this is a broad question.

will 17x8 +35 offset with 225/45/17 work on a 2003 wrx? I was running the same tire wire 17x7 +40 offset with no problem

Ok, i tried searching through the thread, i tried to make sense, yet i still find myself not being able to tell my ass from a hole in the ground.

I have an 03 Wagon...

I am looking at getting some 18x7 5 spoke centerlines, and yes, i realize that its a skinny ass wheel. The wheels have a +42mm offset, now it is out of the range listed, but it seems that although it'd be pushed outward a bit, it won't exceed the edge of the fenders judged on other posts. But i am worried about potential wheel bearing death with that setup. Can anyone help me out here?

Cliffs Notes:

18x7 +42mm, will it work without worrying about wheel bearings?

I know its a skinny wheel

The lower the number, the farther the wheels stick out.

you will rub the fenders for sure. inside you should have plenty of room though, but that really doesnt help.

that narrow of a wheel and that offset are fine, dont worry about wear. just a heads up though. centerline wheels spin about as round as eggs. dont blame the tire guy if you have a vibration. he can balance down to all 0's but it wont help when the wheel isnt round.

I'll keep that in mind, I haven't had any problems with centerlines before. Odds are that i'm gunna go to a wider wheel in the future anyways, i can't fit enough tire on a 7" wheel, but these we're too cheap to pass on. I want to go to a 235 at minimum, but on a 7" wheel the contact patch is somewhat sacrificed, so a wider tire tire won't help on the 7" wheel.

You guys have crushed my hopes and dreams. I found the perfect set of rims but they will not fit at 17"x7" +38. I hate you all.

How nice would these look on a dark gray 06 WRX

Ordered Bronze Volk RE30's 18x8 +45

Cars in the body shop next weekend getting paint, should i get the fenders rolled?

Cars lowered on eibachs and KYB's right now, but im swapping those out for either Teins, or tarmac zeals...

Ive skimmed most of the entire thread, havent really found a concrete answer except that the original post was wrong?

Theres a few people asking about 17x8 +45, getting mixed answers.

So i guess what im looking for is... Do i roll? Will it rub if i dont... and is Tirerack wrong? I ask because 215/40/18 is apparently the recommended size for my 2.5RS coupe on an 8" wide shoe, i thought it would have been 225 min.
