I'm looking to get some rims for winter setup 14' STi. Probably gonna go with 17x7.5, just wondering what offset to get, is the info in the first post still relevant to 14'? If not what should I be looking for?

you need to find out if the specific wheel you want clears brembos.

offset has almost nothing to do with that.

Was planning on getting Work Emotion Kiwami's on 18x8.5 + 38 on my MY08 WRX hatchback which is a non-widebody... Anyone know if this would fit nicely? I want it to be flush with the fender but a little poke would be fine ... Any ideas? I'm new to this forum and I found out I couldn't create my own thread because I needed 3 posts.

It should be fine with fender work, a lot is going to depend on tire size.
I'm certainly not the end all of knowledge on this though.

Noticed you posted in the narrow body 3g specific thread.. good.

Yes, you asked the same question in this thread and the wheel fitment thread. You're going to get the same answer, because the same people answer the questions in both threads

I have a 2013 WRX and found a set of wheels online I'd like to use as winter wheels. I know I'm running a 17x8 et53 and these are a 16x7 et35. I know that's an aggressive setup but I'd only be using these as winter wheels. Now these are ASA em9 wheels. Will there be any problems with backspacing? I can't find ANY specs as far as backspacing on the em9 compared to the OE wheel. Has anyone heard of these wheels on a WRX without issue? And also, will running an et35 wheel cause me to have to run extended studs or can I use the OE studs without length issues?

Looking to run OZ superleggera 17x7 et48 on a 2013 WRX wagon as a winter setup... Any fitment issues? Any snow in the rim unbalancing them issues since they are fairly open spoked? TIA

Im looking to run 325/25R19 on +10 19x12 wheels on my 1990 honda civic wagon. I don't want to modify anything.

But seriously, I bought my 04 wrx sedan with 17x7 wheels and 215/45 tires. I want the wheels to flush out a little more. I checked the offset two nights ago and was surprised to find +42.

I would like to get some 17x7.5 maybe 17x8 and run 225/45 maybe 235/40 tires. I am on coilovers, lowered but not slammed (worthless statement, but I can always go up if I have to). I will probably roll just to be positive to avoid any problems.

What offset and size would you guys suggest?

Simple question (I hope) ..

I want to run Falken 275/40r17 and will be having Karlton fender flares installed on my 06 WRX.

What would be the highest offset I could run before I start to rub on the strut or inner fender on a 17x9.5 wheel?

If you're running karlton flares, you need to be going the other direction.

You want an offset close to 0 if you want to fill the flares out.

Hey guys, I'm looking to eventually replace my stock wheels (16x6 1/2 +48) with some older Subies (16x7 +53).

Does the +5mm difference offset the half inch, therefore keeping the wheel location correct?

hey guys, I'm looking into a new summer setup for my 2012 wrx hatch. I've seen 2008+ wrx/sti's running 18x10 Rota SVN-R (5x100/114.3/E30/73) with a 255/35/18 tire with just rolled fenders. Can anyone confirm this fitment without any camber adjustments? If not, what will I need to run this setup? i'm currently lowered on Tanabe DF210 Springs.

The only way that fitment works with only a roll is at stock height.

Yes, you'll need some form of camber control - most likely rear LCA's.

06 sti on tanabe dr210 springs. Looking at 17x8 et35 w/245/40/17. Would these fit w/o rolled fenders? My gut says no but I'm no expert. I've been reading through various threads but didn't see this setup (granted I'm stuck using just the app right now).

Looking to purchase Miro 398 18x9.5. The offset is 35 mm. I'm planning on running my OEM Dunlop tires on these 245/18/40.

(these wheels also come in 18x8.5. +35 offset as well.)

Questions:
1. Is 18x9.5 going to be too wide my 13' STI sedan? If so, will I have to roll front and back fenders?

2. Are the tires going to be okay or its going to be a problem?

3. I was told I'll need to run 5 mm spacers to clear. Is this going to work with my OEM studs?

4. Do you think 18x8.5 is a better option?

Thank you in advance.

why don't you read the 11+ wrx and sti fitment thread. Your questions are answered in the very first post.

They look pretty flat faced, similar to the Varrstoen TE rep's...which require a 10mm to clear brembos. There is no way in hell you're running a 245 on that without major work. Even if you only needed a 5mm spacer. There will be fender mods and camber work required.

and to fit anything larger than 3mm properly requires longer studs.

Could you elaborate on "major work" on the tires part.

roll, pull, front camber plates, rear lower control arms.

you need to be looking at either:

1.) higher offset
2.) less tire
3.) less wheel as its not really needed in the first place.
