Default STI interior color option?

Has anyone heard from their dealer about the interior options? I pre-ordered my STI in black but am afraid that if the interior has that much blue in it, the contrast won't look that good. I talked to my dealer about this, and he assured me that heavily blue interior is not what is reaching production - that instead it will be black with a dark marroon cross-stitch. I tend to not believe the dealer as all information points to the interior being blue and black. If that is the reality, I may try to change my exterior color to blue, as any other combo will probably look really bad

These threads are really starting to get sad, really sad.

There are no frigging interior options, if you dont like the blue, tough cookies. Not to be mean but you sound like the gayest person I have ever experienced.

who the hell cares about the interior color of an sti matching the otuside, thats just so flaming. Besides the interior blue doesnt even match the exterior blue, god you are lame.

Ask your dealer if they can paint the car pink and get pink leather seats to match..

man im getting pissed, you people are missing the point of this car, and not respecting it for what it is.

dont like it, but another, im sure someone will be glad to take ur spot in line.

mad again

Default Nobody knows yet...

Nobody knows the interior options until SOA releases the information to the dealers.

Unfortunately, all the press cars so far are WR Blue, so we won't see any sneek-previews at possible interior options either.

As with any company, they will offer options that they estimate will be profitable. As much as people on this board are enamored with the STi, to Subaru, it is a means to an end...turning a profit.

That said: for the first year, I would guess (ie: my opinion) that Subaru will not offer other options since they will likely have no problem selling as many STi's as they can churn out. My second guess is that if they do offer an interior color option, it will be the same gray/black combination as the WRX interior.

Since, AFAIK, no Subaru has ever offered interior color options, I'm pretty sure it's safe to take a guess on what the outcome will be...

There are no interior color options, no factory options of any kind other than color (and possibly wheel color).

Your dealer is trying to get you to agree to buy it and hoping you'll overlook the blue interior when it arrives.

Obsidian, not offerning a choice of interior colors is an impreza thing from what I can tell as the higher end and older subarus all have a color choice. Usualy tan or grey, but the old cars had blue instead of grey from what I can tell.

I'm not getting a vanity plate. To those who are getting a black STi, an idea would be: BRUZED, BRUZR, etc...
What's black & blue and flies all over?

Future Rex 0wner: why did you rip this guy apart? Nobody forced you to respond to his post. Hes just worried about his $30k investment. I bet you have some color preferences in life, let it slide.

I really dont think dealers know that much at this point. Everybodys local delarship is telling them things that are the oppostite of others. I would see the blue being the onlly choice, to me it would go well with black but thats my input.

If you're interested in finding out how gay I am I would love to bend you over and make you cry like the little b*tch that you probably are.

Anyway, for those who can seriously address the question, I think it is valid - sorry if I don't want my STI to look like a RICE-wannabe. And, as an '02 WRX owner, I think that I have more experience and respect for this car than you could ever have, even if you eventually could own one (maybe your parent's might die and you could use their inheritance as a downpayment?). Anyway little boy, I will be buying my STI for cash, and if that makes you feel like a pathetic little loser who needs to cry for his mommy, then I would say you're on the right track for once in your miserable piece of crap life. There's nothing wrong with wanting the abilities of the STI without wanting it to be gaudy in appearance. Wanting a tasteful color combination is legitimate, and if you don't agree, you can keep driving around in your Corolla Type-R or whatever poser piece of crap you have in your "car port".

- indeed, but i do think Mr "Future Rex Owner" Went a bit too far ...

as for the interior color, i feel you Mike, i have a White STI on order, and think it will look weird with a blue interior, of course, im saying this from the pictures i have seen, i'm sure it will look alot better in person.

might i suggest maybe doing a "Carpet Swap" with a Blue WRX owner .... maybe that would make both car owners happy, but then again, your seats will still be blue ...

i had a Black WRX before ... and i do agree with you, that blue carpetting would look out of place.

Yes he went too far, but so did you, report someone to a mod instead of trying to be the tough man and retort with something along the lines of "bend you over b...."

just to keep this thread on track and prevent it from becoming another useless thread i will try to answear your question in a serious manner. by looking at the MY02 STI from the rest of the world you can clearly see that the STI was only offered with the blue interior regardless of the exterior color. although i agree with you that it might look a little out of place you have to keep in mind that the blue is somewhat of a trademark for the car and if you really don';t want it i am pretty sure that there will be many 04' WRX owners who would love to trade interior with you so don't let the interior stop you from getting this amazing machine.

and also before i forget,

future wrx- please keep in mind that in a place like nasioc there are many people each with their own amount of knowledge about the car and even though we have people like Paul Hanson and Glenn Wallece who happen to know a lot about the STI and its history, we also have a lot of people who are new to the STI and don't know every bit of info about the car. instaed of getting so out of shape about it you can simply reffer them to a place where they can learn more about the car or simply ignore the post.
