Semi-Auto just means it has actual temparatures listed on the temparature dial instead of just cold or hot. It automatically changes fan speed based on the temp you set.

The difference between this and a "full-automatic" AC is that those are usually digital, and they control what vents the air is coming out of, and the fan speed...

At least that is my understanding. I like it. Sometimes the fully automatic one in my Mom's Lexus ticks me off because I want the air to come out the main vents and it picks the floor, etc...

This just in:

Somebody over at my site said that the Spec-C has a .6" longer wheelbase than the WRX just like the STi. Basically meaning our STi has the same wheelbase as the Spec C.

Now, my question is, can suspension parts/geometry/etc effect wheelbase? That's not really a question..

Things that make you go hmm...

WTLW, JJ!!!!

January 9th:

Quote:
His page lists a wheelbase of 100" for the STI. The JDM Spec C has the front wheels moved 15mm forward. The MY03 WRX has a wheelbase of 99.4 inches --- a difference of .6 inch (~15mm).

Either the entire MY04 line picked up a longer wheelbase, or we are getting the Spec C front geometry with the STi.

Unfortunately I'm having a hard time distinguishing between you being dense and pretending to be dense.

Glenn

PS the specs listed something I didn't know, air filtration system as standard. I guess it doesn't weigh much.

I noticed that too. I thought it was strange that this is only standard on the STi, since it's not a performance thing. Maybe it's for that odd blast through the Turkish desert during a sand storm

Wooohoo!!! Reading that, the WRX gets the following:

Quote:
Rear Window Wiper De-icer - Standard
That means we get a rear window wiper?

Um... ok. I havent seen that on any of the 2004s people have posted pics of though. Maybe I just missed it. Would be nice though.

at this moment, my WRX is over 400 pounds lighter than an STi

anyone care to bat around the performance difference?

I'm running 235/40-17 A032R's

that's quite heavy...

Fortunately, STi owners would probably be able to do many of the same weight reductions you have--if they wanted.

The wagons have a rear wiper (and wiper deicer in the rear window glass), not the WRX or STi sedans.
