Default STi Spotting in Michigan!!

Was down at some bars in downtown Ann Arbor, Michigan last night, was just strolling along and saw a White 2004 STi!!! It was pouring rain and I stopped while all my friends continued on to go to the next place we were headed. The car was parked across the street from where we were going, had Michigan Manufacturer's plates on it. This doesn't suprise me since Car and Driver's editorial offices are based here in Ann Arbor and Prodrive has some sort of building in southern Ann Arbor. I couldn't believe my eyes though! The car had the 17" gold 5 spoke wheels, not the BBS wheels, which leads me to believe it was possibly not a US spec car? I'm not sure if the BBS wheels are going to be optional or not in the US (should do my homework). I glanced into the interior and couldn't make out much of anything seeing it was pouring and dark. Everything on the exterior minus wheels looked just like the white 2004 STi pictures. I'm sorry I have no pics, but I thought I'd share my excitement with everyone here, seeing as how all the people I went out with had no idea what they were looking at. I live right near Car and Driver's office so will swing by there Monday and see if I could maybe snag a few pictures if it is indeed a C&D car. Hmm, and maybe I could swing by Prodrive's offices as well. I'll have an update on Monday!

It is probably a development car, not a press car.

Yes there's a couple of them in Ann Arbor. It's not prodrive's facility.

i'm familiar with the people associated with them. I even know where one resides.

I used to live there. I tried for an interview with the people associated with them.

I used to work at Roush in Livonia, and lived just west of AA.

Here's a hint. Ann Arbor, MI is where the federal emissions test labs are. Watch for a Porsche Carrera GT to be zooming around there in late may through October or so...not sure when exactly...

that is all.
