Default VTR Tint Audio Performance; Everett WA

Throwing up a post to thank the guys at VTR in Everett WA for the tint job they did on my car last Friday. I initially contacted them in May to get in on their May sale but we were unable to get a mutual date to do it until mid-June; but they still gave me the May price.

I dropped my car off there with a dude named Brian and he took good care of it, after I left he gave me a call to mention that he say my radio was on an A.M. station - and let me review my options for a non-metallic tint for my back window. I appreciated the customer service.

All in all it was a great experience and of course the tint itself looks fantastic. I would recommend them to anyone in the area. They do quite a lot of other stuff too, you can check their website out at www.vtrweb.com

So, thanks again, VTR.

I want you all to know what Wayne at VTR in Everett Wa. did to me. He is a very dishonest merchant. BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY!

I bought a car stereo/dvd player from Wayne at VTR in Everett. He told me at first that it was brand new. That he recently moved to a new shop and during the move happened to see this stereo in a box. He put it in a display case and I ended up asking about it. I put it on layaway and about two months later paid the ballance off. He said that it would be another week to install it so I told him I was gonna have another local audio dealer install it. He said fine and I picked it up.

When I brought it to the other dealer to have it installed, the installer immediately told me that a ribbon that was sticking out of it might be a problem. He tested it and installed it. The CD player and radio worked just fine but the DVD player did not. I found out that the Wire Harness was not the original, but came from another manufacturer. I asked VTR about it and could not get a straight answer. During the course of about 2 weeks I got what became a second and a third story about the history of that stereo. First it was brand new. Then It was a display model that they lost the original wire harness to so they replaced it with a new one. Then the stereo was installed in another guys car but he did not want it so they took it back.

I confronted the owner Wayne about it, but he kept saying that he knew that the wire harness did not go with that stereo but since he was under the impression at first that he was going to install it, he was gonna take care of it without telling me that the stereo did not have all its original parts.

I told him I wanted my money back and at first he refused. Then he said he was going to charge me a 25% restocking fee. I told him I would see him in court, and he told me he would LIE AND SAY THAT HE DID NOT KNOW THAT HE GAVE ME THE WRONG WIRE HARNESS.

Wayne, the owner of VTR, missrepresented this product to me and then tried to blame me for the damage per the ribbon sticking out of the top of it.

Bottom line is that he made me believe he was selling me something NEW. NOT USED and certainly NOT DAMAGED. He did not tell me that he lost any parts to the stereo, or that he put another used part in its place. If he told me the truth about the situation from the beginning, I either never would have purchased the stereo from him, or I would have tried to at least negotiate a lower price for it. I paid the same price for it that I would have paid brand new on the internet. He also told me and my wife who was present that he would lie in court.

Also, when he took the stereo out, he left my dash looking like someone broke into my car. Screws and parts of my dash were all over my front seat.

This is a little late, as the car isn't running for other reasons, but I thought I'd post my experience.

I snagged one of the Eclipse head units that VTR was blowing out a few months ago. The price was awesome, and the HU is amazing. I really miss driving the car for the stereo alone. My experience was good, other than a small shipping snafu that they fixed.

I wouldn't hesitate to use these guys again.

I don't know what "bout drama" was doing but he sounds like a scammer. First off I know Wayn and I know heres not a liar... period. Secondly everyone knows that VTR goes out of there way to make things right. They have a sign in the store that talks about returns and how you can't return electronics and returns are to be in store credit. They have always bent over backwards to help me out. I also noticed this dude has no room to talk since he just joined and only has one post. Nice story, but I'm not buying it. Wayne is AWESOME, VTR IS AWESOME.

If you had the stereo removed of course its going to look like someone stole your radio since theres not a radio to replace it with. I bet the screws were prolly from what held the radio in place. Stop making up stories and go away.

I got my tint done recently at VTR. I had a problem with my AM radio after and it turned out to be due to metallic based film. Contacted Wayne and he told me to bring it in. They took care of it no problems by replacing the rear window tint with a non-metallic film. AM radio is back (I listen to sports broadcasts regularly) and the tint looks awesome.

Needless to say I'll be going back to VTR for more work. Got an appointment for differential service next week. I like a shop that stands by their work and VTR is that kind of shop. If you live nearby Everett I highly recommend giving VTR a call. Plenty of places close by to go to while you wait for you car to get done.

I wanted to say thanks to the guys at VTR for making my first experience with them a good one. I called yesterday at 9am and asked if they could install a deck for me. They were able to fit me in at noon that same day, and charged me the exact amount I was originally quoted.

Thumbs up Audio Install

Wanted to give a big thanks to VTR for the awesome audio install they did for me. It was a 5hr drive to go there, but they were the only reputable NW vendor for audio installs I could find.

Full write-up on the install here: http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show....php?t=2189682

I highly recommend them, they took the time to do the work right, my system came out great, and they were really easy to work with.

Been back a few times for various things, and they have still been great. I'm glad I have a good shop close to home.

Just had a custom fiberglass box made for 2-8" CDT subs in my trunk, as well as a number of maintenance items (coolant, oil, trans, diff, brakes) taken care of too. Also a nice new security system.

Great service and even better prices.

Love the sound now. Thanks!
