Thats what I thought. I figured since they were big and expensive, I wouldnt have to go through this crap.

Vivid gets a:monkey: from me for sending me a white greddy gauge instead of a black one like i ordered.

You dont even have to open the box to check.

If you're gonna order from them, keep your fingers crossed and hope they pick the right product when they grab it from the shelf with their eyes closed.

And when a large company like Vivid screws up, it should offer some kind of compensation for the inconvinience they cause.

If not, why not just order from any schmuck and get the same level of service.

so are they giving you crap about the color difference and stuff, or have they been fairly prompt with acknowleging that they messed up and are going 2 correct the problem ASAP?

Like i guess I can understand that ***** happens sometimes - but unfortutnaly for you, it happening right when you don't want it to happen - since you could have put it on your car this weekend.

I just had a problem about a year ago with a computer part. EBworld.com kept on sending me the wrong part FIVE times! And i kept on telling them to actually READ the damn box before they send it, but 3 days later, i'd get teh wrong part all over again. Obvioulsy i do NOT recommend that company at all - I hope your experience with Vivid isn't going to be as bad as mine was with ebworld.

They wont ship the correct one until they can track the return package on UPS. Its now the weekend before Memorial Day and I was planning to go out of town in the morning. Instead I have to hang out until the UPS store opens late morning so that I can ship it out. Otherwise, it would have to be Tuesday, and who knows how long after that I'll get the right one.

Oh yeah, they never send you a tracking number when you order from them. That little box for comments when you order is useless.

Personally as a previous computer buisness owner that sold parts online, if I ever screwed up and sent the wrong stuff, I let the customer keep the item and sent the right one as well.

Anything of value that I couldnt afford to do this with, wouldnt get incorrectly shipped anyhow, it was usually the cheap orders that you had to throw toghether quickly because the profit really didnt justify your time spent.

Thumbs up My Experience with Vivid Racing.......

........................basically they kick ass. I was dealing with a vendor who did not really have his act together, so bad that I had to go to the source of the order which was vivid racing. They were so helpfull with tracking down my order and they were very easy to get in contact with and just wanted to please me, talk about customer service. It was like all they cared about was me getting my product. 10 times better than the original vendor. I think I found my new supplier for all of my subaru parts, best expierence yet. I fully recommend!!!!

Default Great customer service is FAR from dead...

I just wanted to share my overall experience with Dan, Mike, and the rest of the guys at Vivid Racing. I just recently picked up a set of the silver UK rims from them. After receiving my rims, I was shocked to see that I wasn't sent center caps. After looking over the packing list, it was the UK vendor that failed to invoice and package the center caps for my rims, and no fault of Vivid. I quickly e-mailed Dan, and although it was a holiday weekend, I still had a quick reply. The most amazing part is that Dan is always available to talk on the phone, and if he's not, he will get back to you ASAP. Additionally, all of my e-mails, whether it was pre or post sales related, was answered VERY quickly, usually within a few hours. My center caps are now on their way to me, and as far as I'm concerned, the whole Vivid Racing team deserves everyone's hard earned "mod money".

Kudos to Vivid....

i have nothing but good things to say about dan and vivid racing...most notably, recently i called dan about 5 minutes before ups was picking up from him and needed something overnighted to me...somehow he found a way to get it to me. i order everything i can from dan...on a few items he might be a little bit higher in price than others but i will gladly pay a few dollars more for the awesome service and response i receive from him. he always emails me back on questions that i have within hours and i have not been steered wrong yet! if i order something that is not in stock or if there is going to be a problem with shipping he always notifies me immediately. thanks dan!

I've ordered twice from Dan @ Vivid and have no complaints. Dan always contacts quickly me when I send him an e-mail. Vivid has great prices and some great parts. I'm not sure why people are bashing on him and Vivid. THEY DO IT RIGHT !

To date I have purchased from Vivid Racing, Whiteline Rear swaybar ends, BMT Mastercylinder bracket, 4ea- OZ SuperLeggera' s and tires, Replacement front disks and EBC green brake pads and a 2 gage A pillar pod. I'm sure I've bought other stuff that I don't recall right now. I have had zero complaints with Dan and his crew. I have found Vivid Racing to be friendly and helpful. Due care has always been taken to insure my order was correct and that all items were accounted for (brackets,screws,etc.) before I recieve the goods. Dan has taken the time, on several occasions, to insure that I am buying what fits my needs instead of what they may have in stock. In short, I purchace what I want, at a great price, from people I like.

Dan Zendar and N'Sync Rob are the best vendors hands down. I am proud to have my wagon sponsored by them and I have never had a complaint about their shipping EVER. Best Subaru JDM source period.

I must have been one of the unlucky ones. After 3 weeks, I'm still waiting for my Greddy boost gauge in the right color. The first one I received was the wrong color. I'm expecting to get it in a couple of days, so we'll see when it gets here.
I also ordered Samco intercooler hoses a couple of days after the first order and I havent gotten those yet. I found out today after calling that they were out. So I told them to refund my credit card and cancel the order.
Maybe these are problems that should be expected when ordering online, but I always thought it would be an easier process.
To improve on their service I suggest these changes:

1) Notify by email when an item has been shipped out, with a tracking number attached.(this may already be implemented in your new system)

2)If an item is not in stock, notify the customer as soon as possible. Do not charge the credit card until you are ready to ship the item.

3)When an incorrect item is shipped out, Do not make it so difficult for the customer to get the correct item sent as soon as possible. Seemed like I did most of the legwork to get the correct item shipped out and return shipping credited.

At least I'm glad not everyone has gone through the aggravation that I endured. Vividracing are legitimate and try to correct their mistakes WHILE PROTECTING THEMSELVES. I just feel that they do not put the customer first. I think it will be a while before I purchase from them again, if I ever do again.

I am yet to order from Vivid, but after looking over their site over and over i am starting to see that they are indeed the epitome of Subaru Performance! I have emailed Dan about 10 times today and his responses have never been farther than 5 minutes away! AMAZING! Noone else can compare to their sheer volume and product lineup. THey also cater to all tastes! You can buy all of your performance goods on their site while at the same time buying a set of altezza taillights and STI shifter trim! If you want it they probably have it, and if they dont...they most likely will in a few days! Watch out on their site for new and inovative items!

i can't really say anything bad about vivid--they have alot of products and most if not all are in stock--parts ship out right away--i've only had one problem with them but it was just a communication situation--everything was cleared up

i would like to see some price matching or at least drop some prices on items--i'm not complaining--sometimes i don't mind paying a little extra for things because i know that it is coming from a top company but other times it is just too much

vivid is a great place to get any new information/products for your subaru

please let me know if you guys are hiring--i would love to work there

Default bad experience with vivid shipping charge

I ordered a 3rd cat eliminator from vivid and today I got my part. But after I looked at the invoice, they charge me $30 for UPS Ground from Aroniza to Fremont California. I then go to UPS's website and check. The shipping price is $5.86. Just wonder that is the other $2x for? Lunch money?

Well, I just spoke with Dan. We finally discussed the problems we were having and I believe we have solved them.

I was quick to post negative comments on Vividracing when things were not resolved. I am posting again to let people know that I am now satisfied with Dan's effort in resolving my issues.

i've ordered from vivid a few times and i must day that they were great buys. before i order anything, i check out other places for other prices, and vivid had the best prices almost everytime. a day doesnt go by that i dont look through the forums there. thanks vivid
