i gave them a shot. $10 a-pillar 2-66mm gauge pod. $7 shipping. what i got was a 2-60mm. it's sad to see such poor customer service. i always am willing to try a vendor out with a small purchase. kinda like a test. they failed. and i hope others read this post and the many posts like it. stay away from vivid. do not buy from them. do not further their cause in any shape way or form.

I ordered a part from them 3 weeks ago on Ebay....sure enough now package on my front door!!!!!! I have emailed them about 4 or 5 times with no replies. This part was in stock too (supposedly).

I think I'll call my credit card company and dispute the charge.

Just because you have a nice car on the cover of an import magazine, does not mean you're too good to service customers. If you're too good, then get the hell out of business! So far I consider them as scammers and con artists.

04 STi Conversion

Default Vivid Racing...

Hey folks, im here to discuss my wonderful experience with Vivid Racing.

Ok i had got into a wreck a month or so ago. Well i decided on converting my 02 WRX to the new 04 front, since all the required pieces to replace were the ones needed to do the conversion. Well i decided on the Charge Speed v2 bumper, due to price and looks. Also to go with it were the low price JDM 04 headlights, cheapest Seibon CF hood, and since i needed fenders, the Charge Speed fenders. Well i looked around at different sites, and saw that vivid had the cheapest prices as well as shipping for the parts. mistake! I had talked to quite a few guys over there to work out a package deal for all the parts, and as a multitude of questions. For some reason their "package deal" was more expensive than if i ordered it off the site. After placing the order (from the site) 7/15/04, i was contaced the next day by them, saying that shipping was going to be somewhere around $200 more. why? because there site was some how messed up and didnt charge me the right amount. Ok, that was fine, not too bad. Well the day after the card wouldnt process, they dont take bank cards, that i believe was my fault. Used the credit card. Now they told me it was going to be a month wait on the hood because they didnt have in stock, though the people there told me they did. Ok, a month isnt too bad, basically two more weeks later than what it'll take to get finished. Ok a week or so goes by and i just get my headlights, i have to contact them for the tracking number forthe rest of the stuff, which they didnt supply to me (mind you, it takes them a day or two to reply). Alright 3 weeks passed since i placed the order, and i finally get the bumper and fenders. I contact the guys about the hood. next day they say it'll be there in a week, possibly two. Thats cool!...not really. A few more weeks go by, no hood. I email them on the progress of the hood, they keep saying it will be in cali in a few days, but still no tracking number. I email them some more and ask for a tracking number, no reply. Not until 3 days later when they get back to me, they finally get me a tracking number. Ok the hood will be here at the end of the week. Ok, never mind, itll be here the middle of next week. Well i finally get all my parts in from Vivid Racing 8/24/04. Forty days from when i purchased it. So its all gravy now, just gotta wait for the body shop to finish it. OH NO! wait! the hood has a crack in it, about 2 inches long! cuh-rap! Im trying to see what vivid can do for me now. But after that, this will be the last time i ever deal with Vivid. World One and Private For Sale Classifieds, say hello to your new customer!

My "Vivid Racing" story:

I ordered $5,000 worth of product from Vivid Racing in March of this year.

I was told it was all "in stock" and "would ship immediately" before I paid.

It was not in stock. And so the waiting game began.

4 months later (most) of the items arrived.

The people hiding behind this company are the worst I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. I will never do business with them again and I urge those of you considering doing so to think again and read this thread carefully.

I only wish I had seen this thread before paying for my order with these scum.

You have been warned...

wow, I never seen this thread till now. I've been a vivid customer since the beginning and couldn't be happier. Dan and Rob have always taken care of me. There's been mixups, and misquotes on shipping time, but that was for japan stuff. They explained it was due to customs and stuff which I can understand when you're gettin' an order from japan over 60k worth, they check, recheck, and check again before then release it and then send it off to vivid. Sucks that people feel this way about a company that has revolutionized this industry for us and has done so much for us as a coummunity. Things are alot different at vividracing and I recommend anybody that hasn't dealt with them to give them a call. Even if you have had a bad experience, and you want to be directly taken care of by the man himself, they have each individuals # up on the website. VIVIDRACING will always be my first choice for business.

Well i contacted vivid, and it looks like they are going to take care of me. I sent them the pic of the hood, and they are going to send me another one, while i have my car repaired with the cracked hood. Then when i get the new hood, just send the old one back. hopefully it works out...

well hopefully if everything is taken care of you'll change your mind about vivid and will think about dealing with them in the future. If a sales person isn't helping you out Dan or Rob surely will. Who'd you speak with?

Telling people you have stuff in stock, when you haven't ordered it yet, is not revolutionary. Crappy companies have been doing that for years

Surely you're not talking about Vivid Racing, Arizona?! The time period I refer to was between March and July of this year - things are "alot different", eh?

When I raised the catastrophic problems with my order (and wholly unprofessional behaviour of the person with whom I was dealing) with the owner of Vivid Racing he advised he could not intervene as he only dealt with promotion/marketing aspects of the company

I never had the good fortune to stumble across this thread until after I had paid my money. Those of you who read this thread and still decide to deal with Vivid Racing do so at your own peril...

I have many "feelings" about Vivid Racing Haas but my posts above are facts. I'd be more than happy to send you a copy of the offending communication.

And it's "douche" not "dueshe". If you feel the need to condescend into insulting me purely because I'm telling the naked truth about your favourite WRX store then I suggest you at least use a dictionary before putting fingers to keys...

^^ Great for you that they are good to you but I have 2 friends that played the "in-stock" game with vivid and ended up waiting about 2 months for simple ****. The bad pretty much outweighs the good here and there was obviously a GOOD reason they were kicked off the site.
