Somehow I doubt Vivid has better lawyers than Best Buy or Google.

And I doubt think "using a logo from another company on your website" is actionable. But IANAL.

ButtDyno is correct on the logo. We (my company) has fought this before and unless the are misrepresenting themselves or using to deceive customers, not even worth a call to the lawyer.

Someone should pull a D&B on these idiots, sure they are private but it will still have some nice info. I am willing to bet there are some late payment to supplier notices on there (pure educated speculation of course). BTW if someone is so inclined here is a place to start.

Thumbs down VIVID racing LTD Sucks!

Hi Fellas,

This is just another bad history with VIVID RACING,

They first offer a part for a price, then charge another without notice, then if you try to cancel the order or ask for refund 5 minutes later they charged you, they will ask for RESTOCKING FEES, even for a product they take 3 months to have in stock

I am so sorry I did 8000 USD business with them

Please contact many other suppliers in the states as many greats we have in our comunity

Thanks for your attention

DJ

Hence why Vivid Racing was removed from Nasioc as a vendor.

I ordered a iced out bling watch once from Ebay from this guy named hiphop chains. He had over 1100 positivated ratings and 2 negative ones. I got the watch, it was $5.95 + $3.50 shipping. You know what, that damn watch didn't even work when I got it. So I gave the guy his 3rd negative rating. Boy, that made me feel good.

Do you all see my point with this post? I hope so, now carry on............

This isn't Vivids 3rd negative post. Don't even try to play it like that. Heck, there are vendors here that have gotten screwed by Vivid.

Yeh, but 3 negatives goes into 1100 positives just like 1100 negative dealings with vivid goes into the 100's of thousands of good dealings with them. It's all relative and sensless to post IMO. Doesn't anyone actually shop around anymore.
All you need is a cool website and you can sell anything. Most the negative vivid post are due to stocking/shipping issues. The demand is greater than the supply.

Does anyone know any website besides the walmart.com types that actually stock every item that is "for sale" on their website. I'll bet you can't name even 1. Hell, even walmart has distribution warehouses all over the country. It's not all in every store. Wake up guys. NOBODY could afford to do that. Did you know that in Arizona you have to pay state taxes on your inventory? So would it be better to have $20 million dollars in inventory stocked or just the select few items that are hot sellers? Then use your cash flow to buy things like dyno's and lifts and tools and payroll etc.... So you order from vivid from their website. They don't stock your item, they, in turn track down your item for you, they are also at the mercy of whomever they are dealing with to get you your item. Time ticks away, customers get upset. Then you come on here and slam them, it's the American way. Those guys sell lots of stuff and all in all they do alright, the tuner market is growing in leaps and bounds, everyone is having trouble keeping up from what I see. JMO

Where you get this only 3 things is nuts, go read through the other threads about them,. not just here but on other sites as well. I only expect to see that many complaints for a big company not some small (relative terms) auto parts dealer. I can think of at least 10 people that I know that have had problems with orders from Vivid that live in my area and there are not that many Subies running around here, that is pretty sad. These problems were not ordering something and it taking to long, it was not getting the right stuff then getting yanked around to 2 months while you try and get it straightened out.

On the inventory side people don't expect it to be in stock, but they it to actually be instock when they are told it is, expect to not get charged for it till it is and it is shipped unless it's a special order item, and if there is an issue not to get jerked around for 100 years. If they have issues getting the stuff form the distributor that is not my problem and my money shouldn't be tied up while they play phone tag with the distributor.

You can defend you buddies all you want, but in comparison to most of the other vendors that have been on this board of the the past 3 years these guys are the bottom of the barrel.

BTW I think it's funny that you come into this thread that shun us for dogging an exvendor when over half of your posts are complaints about another AZ vendor.

The bottom line is that vivid blows. They have a slick website that suckers people in. And maybe other ;vendors don't have everysingle item in stock that is on their website, but guess what, most have the decency to tell you. Case in point. I ordered a radiator shroud from jsc speed. I paid via paypal. Within a half an hour my money was refunded into my account with an email saying that the item was not in stock. they could have kept it and strung me along like those morons at vivid, but they didn't. My first order was from vivid. It was for a greddy boost gauge that took 2 months for me to get. I tried to cancel the order and got nothing but attitude. I eventually did get the gauge, but it is entirely ridiculous to have to wait that damn long.

A) They are not my buddys. I am not shunning anyone. I just gave some examples of how internet ordering and inventory works and the risks involved.

B) The "other" company took over $14k of my money up front, as in before services were rendered. Then just let my car sit for 6 months. In that 6 months they did maybe, maybe 8-10 hrs worth of work. So i felt the need to post on all the websites my experience. It's called a review, reviews do NOT have to always be positive. I used to like KP but they ripped me off in a big way, for big money so now, since mike does not want to offer any resolution I had 2 choices, blow up KP or sue KP, since i am not a criminal I chose to sue.

C) my only 2 dealings with Vivid where OK, not fantastic, not crappy, just OK. I have nothing to gain from promoting vivid and i have nothing to lose by slamming KP. Bottom line is you guys will order from who you want, it's your choice, sometimes you get what you want and sometimes you don't. Venting our frustrations on these forums makes us feel better but it does nothing to fix the problem.

D) the Arizona district attorney will be contacting the "other shop" soon with some information that will not make their day. (so order now before it's too late) They will be up on some very serious charges, far beyond ripping me off for $14k.It;s sad that it has to come to this but I really have no other choice at this point.

Amazing coming from a guy who's only contribution to this forum has been posting vendor reviews. Being a fan of irony, I have to say that this is one of my favotire all-time posts. Thank you.

As for the second sentence, one would argue that you were the one taking a vandalized car to a performance shop instead of a professional collision repair shop - I suspect with the intention of saving a couple bucks. In the end, you failed to shop around, check qualifications etc. and you got burned. And now you're giving other members a hard time for doing the same thing. Next time, show a little compassion or keep it to yourself, especially in a situation where you are being so blatantly hypocritical. Just doesn't sit well, IMO.

That's because this site is only good for bitching, I am just joining in with all the other winers on here. I post real stuff on other more respectable sites. I only use this site to "reach out" to all the ******** I've met since owning the car. I am fasinated by the hatered on this site. They all live here on this site. Do you actually think that I didn't know I was being hypocritical?

FYI, KP is not a performance shop and I had no "collision" repair. It was all interior damage, mostly JDM stuff and KP assured me they could do the work. So I post my lessons learned from not shopping around and checking out the shop and you turn it into some sort of rant against me. Typical reaction from members of this site.

Quote:

Compassion, right, this site ozzes compassion. I post facts about a garage that ripped me off and all I get is death threats, people calling me a liar, people f'n with my car at any gathering I go to, that little KP bitch Justin caught red handed trying to scrape off my "F'ed by Kingpin" sticker etc... (your lucky buddy that I am a nice guy and let you think I didn't see you)Then I post actual photos of the crap work KP did and I get crap saying I photoshopped the pics. Even real phots cannot sway you guys. You just have this thing about my bad review and the fact that I have one of the nicest WRX's in the state. Jealousy creates hatered. Notice how Mike from KP never came on the thread to defend himself, that's because he couldn't, he knows what he did and he cannot defend himself. Nice guy
