Definitely contact your credit card company. I'm pretty sure what they did was illegal. They charged your CC without your permission.

the BBB? What a joke. Tried going that route half a dozen times. They just don't give a crap. Better going to your credit card company and then having a friend call as "friend of the family" lawyer.

You got ripped off by Vivid for a purchase you never authorized? Wow... shocker. It seems to be their standard business practice. Ship back the unrequested item with tracking, dispute and chargeback Vivid's charge with your credit card provider. Then change your credit card # as those thieves will try more unauthorized charges unless you do.

Same here. There was a core group of very cool people and then it all went to hell at that point. I answered a few hundred "which BOV is the tytest, yo?!" questions before eventually giving up and switching to nasioc. Much more informative over here and a much more mature group of owners/enthusiasts, IMO.

I wouldn't let these rip off artists get away with it

Call your credit card company and tell them you want to dispute the charge as it is unauthorized....that will get you your money back...end of story.

Never use them again...should have done your research first

Wow, sorry to hear about that. They shouldn't get away with what they did. I guess they need all the business they can get, even if it comes down to ordering unauthorized parts. That's so damn shady...
I'd definetly contact your cc company and get things straightened out.

I almost did too

I remember when I ordered a part from them and never received for over 3 months, but my CC was charged. Thankfully at the time, I lived in Boulder and it was only a 45 min drive to their place to pick it up. But odd enough, I still got charged for shipping.

Dealing with Vivid = big mistake

I found out first hand, and was able to get my money back only after calling everyone in Phoenix from the Police, to the FBI, to the BBB.

Holy mole!!
I got somewhat own3d by Vivid as well....
July last year ordered UTEC - got charged - No UTEC for almost 2 months (yes they were on backordered, but no reason to charge my CC )
I called to cancel & get refund - big hassle, called several times.

Prices charged to CC and prices quoted did not match - extremely lucky, difference was only $19
Dan Mermelaid himself emailed me a "credit voucher" for $20 to compensate .... so I used it on Perrin endlinks - not bad prices....

Last week I was browsing thru my emails - so I find the $20 credit store code.. so I try it and to my surprise - it worked ! - So I needed to buy some Sparco hood pins and I ordered them, Ha ! I own3d them back for $20!!

Never giving them my business again.....

I think what he meants is Vivid is similar to JC Sports (not same company or JC reanming to Vivid - just the fact that both stores suck and treat their customers like garbage)

No one is worse than JC Sports was. I had so much bad luck with them. They were the worst.
