Default EVO and STI maintenance / Release info?

First off, my disclaimer,
If this has been discussed already.. Sorry.. no smart comments necessary..

A couple of weeks back I drove by the Mitsubishi dealer to check out the evo. Coincidentally, the had just gotten the car, within the last hour or so.. A couple of the "clueless" salesmen were around discussing and laughing how much they would "attempt to overcharge for the car... (2 days later they were asking msrp, or possibly lower as there are 4 or so cars there sitting..lol..) It was kinda funny actually.. Well, there was a Maintenance guy there too laughing with them talking about how much he would gouge for maintenance as well, talking about doubling the price for everything.. Very sad but amusing. Have anyone of you considered how little the American Mitsubishi mechanics may know about AWD or the Evolution specifically. Our subaru mechanics have been working with our AWD for years and are very familiar with our somewhat similar Impreza's and Legacy's. Anyway, off to another tangent. On friday I went to my Subaru dealer to get an oil filter change (synthetic oil used so no need for oil change at the time), and was asking if he knew anything about the release date about the car. He told me they would begin their classes about STI maintenance in June. So, for how much its worth, is it fair to say our cars won't come before June? They wouldn't release the cars without our mechanics knowing what to do "exactly" quite yet would they.?? Just food for thought.. I found it interesting. Do any of you know if the 2.5L turbo will be a synthetic oil only engine like the EVO? Anyway, just some observations I thought I would share.

J.

Yes, synthetic only. Not that I would be running anything different anyway....

I heard you'll have to use Subaru WRC Oil, or its equivalent.

We might have to dig up the STi branded oil filter thread.

I know synthetic is recommended for the STi, but don't think it is required. Of course, who knows what will be the case by the time it is released.

I think what was even more sad and amusing, to some, is when I heard a story from a guy over on another board I frequent after the first '02 WRX's were arriving at dealerships. Supposadly, after the first one rolled off the truck everyone was standing around the engine bay after the hood was popped and one of the mechanics who worked for the dealership had a look on his face as he asked "Why did they put the radiator on top of the engine?"

Suppressed laughter was the only outcome that came about after that one!

I was at the dealer about a month ago getting the sunroof worked on on my wife's outback. I asked the guy when his techs are going to the STI tech training (you know kinda being sneaky - I figure if they went through the training then the car was coming soon). His response was that his techs have already been through the training.

not defending Mitsu here, but they have a few all-wheel drive cars in there line up. Or at least they did
