Europeans who are visiting/touring the US can bring their personal cars with them, just as Americans can bring their cars for a visit/tour of Europe. You keep your tags, of course, and the tour/visit can't last more than 1 year. It seems pretty cool (and expensive) to take your car to Europe, photograph it with those Texas plates in front of the Eifel Tower and then drive over to Germany for a few laps around the Nürburgring and then cruise the Autobahns down to Bavaria. Maybe steal a German license plate or two.

There's a lot of places to get the european licence plates (without steeling them from tourists A TON of Volkswagons in my area have them. They do look really good, and there's a company that makes personalized ones. (which a lot of the cops around here will let you slide with in the front if they match your actual licence plate) I'm just not sure how good they'd look on a subie. They look really sporty on the VW's though. I like them better than the Japanese ones.

Default Front plates

Where can I see or buy these plates that actually match my real plate number? I would like to see them so do you know of a website I can visit and then perhaps order on line?

Thanks

Judrob

I saw an Infiniti G35 Coupe around here with an AZ rear plate and a Japanese front plate... except the front plate was yellow (which signifies a >.8 liter engined car in Japan).

I wonder if that was a real one? I don't see a point of getting the kei tags otherwise and haven't seen them sold either.

Here is my car with a Euro front plate. Got both the front and rear (the rear is yellow) from GT Grafix. Go to "Start here" then Registration Plates, then to "Plate Builder" You can cuztomzie it however you want. They were about 45$ for both (20 GBP). Just make sure you MENTION YOU ARE IN THE UNITED STATES!!! They are in England, and on my order form there were threee exclimation points and they circled my comment saying Im in California in the US.

I decided to go with a more "Legal" looking plate, which has my CA plate number on it. No issues with cops so far.
Heres what it looks like (sorry, just went out and snapped the pic)
