Default i've just about had it, time to give it up, advise would be helpful

well i'm seriously contemplating getting rid of my RS, just one thing after another with it. about a month ago, one of the wheel bearings went bad, now i'm noticing the same noise as before, possible 2 wheel bearings in less than a month. another issue is the clutch, the shuttering is coming back for some strange reason, plus i've just always hated it. the one thing the car has going for it is the look, i've always loved the GC8 body style but it's not enought to want to keep the car.

so here is where i ask for advice, should i hold off till the new style impreza comes out, hoping a few issues have been resolved, i.e. clutch, suspension problems, or should i say to hell with Subaru all together and look into getting a Mini. i do have a small commute to work so mpg is also an issue, especially if gas prices go up. i want to stay with AWD but can't think of too many cars that would be affordable.

thanks in advance for advice.

Hold off a couple months if need be to get the new body style when it comes out. It won't have the 6spd in it but at least its got the new front end.

Whatever happened to the rumor of the regular WRX getting a hp bump up for next year?

That was pretty much killed when all the information packets from SOA started comnig out saying that the 04 will have 227 hp and this was confirmed at most trade show presentations.

Mostly, once SOA does say something... it pretty much kills rumors.. that and the fact some east coast kids have the 04s... and no new power was added to those.

I guess they'll wait until Honda starts making engines with more hp then the WRX. Oh wait the Accord already does. I really wish Subaru would go back to making the regular WRX the same hp as the STI with the only difference being all the little extras like the adjustable center diff, intake manifold and those sorts of things.

well yeah it will be a different body style but will the internal parts be the same. i just don't want to get another subaru then have to deal with these type of problems at 40,000 miles again. i'd probably have to go with another RS or TS if i got the new one, can't afford a WRX or the insurance that goes along with it.

Well I don't think you can go wrong with the Mini S and the Cooper power package will be released very soon to make it one very sweet car. You should be able to order it with that. Like 200hp. Either way I would wait a bit.

I knew this stupid board was changing my letters around. It did it again! Compare my post above with what I took a screenshot of.

went to the BMW dealer to check out the Mini. it's is such a rad car but not nearly enough room for me. plus all they had were the non- supercharged ones and they all cost over $20k.

looks like i may wait for the new body style impreza to come out and cross my fingers that i dont' have the same problems like i do now. i really wish more cars were AWD.

when the hell are we going to see the new style anyways?
