morning all,

I figured that I would you guys as I have some faith in the responses I will find here versus the other forums.
For those of you who do not know, I have a 2003 Wagon, it currently has wheels, tires, prodrive springs, rear sway, upgraded pads, ss lines, utec, and stealthback exhaust. So it has been moving along slowly but surely.
Now comes the cross-road of where to go next. For those of you thinking turbo upgraded, I am not ready yet. I am contemplating an APS or STI TMIC, sti scoop and splitter, some coilovers, rear strut brace, upgraded front rotors, LNR front lip, and any of your ideas. I am not one for bling, body kits, or stuff that is not for the most part functional. So I open the floor to your thoughts and thank you in advance for voicing your opinion.

STI scoop and an upgraded TMIC. Hell there was somebody selling a FMIC kit in the for sale section a while ago for fairly cheap. Probably for the cost of the bigger scoop and the TMIC you could just get a FMIC kit.

Have you done the up and down pipes yet?

N/A,

I have the JDM catless uppipe and the downpipe is part of the TXS Stealthback exhaust.
As for the FMIC, I am staying away from it given the size of my turbo, the issue of having t cut a bumper and the general extra hastle that comes with it. I figure that for my application an upgraded TMIC should be plenty if I go that route.

I would get coilovers (There's a great deal on Tanabe from Gruppe-S right now), rear strut bar, STi (or replica) hood scoop, TMIC (Don't get an STi. It really doesn't flow much better than stock. Get an MRT, APS, TXS, or something similar.), rotors (assumming you never want to go to a BBK, which I would REALLY recommend if you plan on tracking teh car), LNR Front lip. In that order.

The driver's schools are already something I am doing and have done some of in the past. The next event is the FATT in the beginning of May. I want to go down to VIR at some point, but it seems to be difficult to arrange.
I must admit that I am a royal fool on the topic of coilovers, I mean I understand the mechanics of it, but brands, pricing, types of adjustability, etc are lost on me. About all I know is that my choices should be either Tanabe or Tein. The one thing I do know is that if I do this I will want something that has more capabilities than just the regular Tein Wagons. So I reopen the floor to comments.

Tim: Which rear strut bar is the one to order (ie the one in the back of your wagon, as I would prefer to fit it the way you did versus not having the tops on).

I am getting the Tanabe's for two reasons.
1) I've wanted something with stiffer springs, but not too stiff, and they fit the bill as far as rates go.
2.) It's an AWESOME price, and the Tanabes have a pretty good rep.

for the money, IMO the Buddy Club P1 damper is by far the best buy. The rates (and valving) are completely customized when you order them, and the "features" are comparable to the high dollar $2k cusco and tein versions.
You should be able to get a set for around $1500, but you will have to find an importer since they have no official us distributor (and if they did they would be more expensive anyway)

another option would be the JIC FLTA2 RS, another good setup that is completely customizable.

most other setups, despite their marketing, are mainly designed for street driving.
